Managing Bookmarks

Exporting Bookmarks

Safari

• 1. Open Safari.

  2. Choose File > Export Bookmarks.

  3. Specify a location for the exported file. (the Desktop is a good place)

Firefox

• 1. Open Firefox.

  2. Click Bookmarks button in the menu bar and select Show All Bookmarks to open the Library window.

  3. Click on the Star on the Library window and choose "Export Bookmarks to HTML..."

  4. In the Export Bookmarks File window that opens, choose a location to save the file, which is named bookmarks.html by default. (the Desktop is a good place)

  5. Click the Save button. The Export Bookmarks File window will close.

  6. Close the Library window.

Chrome

• 1. Open Chrome.

  2. Click on Bookmarks button in the menu bar and select "Bookmarks Manager"

  3. Click the three little dots near the top right-hand corner of the browser window

  4. Select Export bookmarks.

  5. If you don't see the Export Option, click on Organize > Export bookmarks

Importing Bookmarks

Safari

• 1. Open Safari.

  2. Select File ▹ Import From from Bookmarks HTML file.

  3. Select the file and click Import.

Firefox

1. Open Firefox.

2. Click Bookmarks button in the menu bar and select Show All Bookmarks to open the Library window.

3. Click on the Star on the Library window and choose "Import Bookmarks from HTML..."

4. In the Import Bookmarks File window that opens, navigate to the bookmarks.html file you are importing and select the file.

5. Click the Open button. The Import Bookmarks File window will close.

6. Close the Library window.

Chrome

• 1. Open Chrome.

  2. Click on Bookmarks button in the menu bar and select "Bookmarks Manager"

  3. Click the three little dots near the top right-hand corner of the browser window

  4. Select Import bookmarks.

  5. Navigate to the file you are importing and select the file.

  6. Click the Open button.

  2. Click the Save button.
