(NOTE: Grs. 3-8 EL students who do not test during this window, must complete ELPAC by May 31)
EUSD Grades K-2 Testing Window
K-2 testing will start right after Gr. 3-8 Speaking testing is completed
***All English Learners in Grades K-8 are required to take the Summative ELPAC every year until reclassified***
The administration of the Summative English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC) will be delivered via a computer-based test delivery platform. The four domains (Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing) will be administered on an iPad except for the Writing domain for kindergarten through grade two, which will remain as a paper-based test.

Sensory items accommodation
A student can use a sensory item (i.e., a fidget toy, textured seat cushion, foot rocker, or other similar object) to help focus on CAASPP/ELPAC.
Embedded text-to-speech accommodation no longer available in the Initial ELPAC and Summative ELPAC Listening domain (it’s available for Speaking and Writing).

The ELPAC blueprints and task types were approved and adopted by the State Board of Education and are posted on the CDE Web site. The ELPAC is aligned with California’s 2012 English Language Development Standards.
