Q: I got this error message. What now?
A: Hold the power button until the iPad powers down. Wait 10 seconds and power it back on. Continue through the activation steps. If you get the error message again, restore the device using iTunes on your teacher laptop. If you still get the error message, put the iPad into recovery mode, and try activation once more. Still no dice? You may try moving to another WiFi zone (near another access point) and trying again there. Please complete a helpdesk ticket if you are unable to solve this problem on your own.
