Important Steps in Reporting an Absence (Wheel Teachers)

• Uncovered (sick, emergency, etc.) absences should be reported as follows:

  • Place your absence into SmartFind.

  • Email your absence to the OM at your Thursday Week 1 school and the OM at the site you are going to be absent.

  • Provide lesson plans to absence site OM for sub.

  • Email Cherry Moore (cmoore@eusd.org) and Art Fuentes (afuentes@eusd.org) Cc: Kelly Wildes (kwildes@eusd.org).

• Covered absences should be reported as follows:

  • Email Cherry Moore and Art Fuentes (Cc: Kelly) to ask if the Wheel Rover will be available to cover your absence. Please do not reserve sub coverage with the rover directly.

  • If the Wheel Rover is available, place your absence in SmartFind as “NSR”. If the rover is not available, place your absence as “Sub Required” and provide lesson plans to absence site OM for sub.

  • If the Wheel Rover will cover, email Kelly Wildes (kwildes@eusd.org) your lesson plans.
