How to make every action a deliberate attempt to move closer to our dream

A story of Local Response by Aniele from Le Pont du Tamarinier

We started to apply SALT a year or so ago, and I can say that it has changed many things in my life.

What I have learned most from SALT as a systematic way of working, is the true power of the After Experience Reflection. Before, we just kind of did activities that we thought fitted into our vision and mission.

Now, however, every single activity that we plan and carry out is systematically questioned through the tool of the AER- and we have learned so much from that! The lessons learned from each lesson are immediately put into practice the next time we act, and thus we are adapting in real time to changes.

In this way, we can really monitor our actions as a deliberate attempt to move closer to our dream, every time.

If we do not do an After Experience Reflection, then we are just doing an activity, but if we do an After Experience Reflection, then we realize that what we’re doing is taking action to reach our dream.

When we did an AER after an action, that action became a deliberate attempt to move closer to our dream.
