Shiomi - the shrine maiden

Name: Shiomi (潮美) or Mio (美桜): one is the girl the other the demon.

It might be of use to know the meaning of the names: 美桜 (Mi-o) = Beautiful Cherry (sakura) and 潮美 (Shio-mi) = Beautiful Tide (possibly indicating tsunami), but 潮 can also be read as chō, wet or moist, which would be the interpretation when she calls herself Shomi (but she will blush furiously if she is asked about this) which happens on occasions. She signs some documents with 思桜美 (including sakura (桜) in the name Shiomi) which she thinks is funny for some reason.

Sexuality: The girl is very shy on this subject, and the demon very seductive, the latter loves to embarrass the former

Relations: None known, but she seems to seek friendship and closeness, even if she barely knows how to handle it.

Personality: Humble and quiet, but can have fits of of abnormal energy, She usually seems more shy than she really is.

Biography: Mio/Shiomi is a girl that is possessed by a daemon, She is a miku, temple guardian, of unknown age (as a result from her possession she develops/ages very slowly), she is probably over 90 years old. She acts like, and usually is mistaken for a shy and naive teenager, dependent on ancient rituals and the simple repeating life in the temple. But she can show both initiative and great strength when its needed. Normally they are in symbiosis, both aware of each other and sharing memories, although there are times when they close out each other.

Other things about her: She (both) like sake, but the girl will pass out after a small amount, which will not hinder the demon to go on, usually resulting in a hard morning for the poor Shiomi without memory of whatever Mio did while drinking.

She have taken the role as handmaiden to Opal (after her second transformation), whom she seems to worship. In her role as miku, you will often see Shade as her "shadow". She is the fourth original demon in the group.

There is a debate in the abode weather she is blind or not, one thing is clear though, her eyesight is not normal and she can see things that few others can, even if she seems to be unable to see some ordinary things in her surroundings.
