Educator's Guide

In addition to creating this film to preserve the important story of one boy’s journey through one of the darkest times in twentieth century history, the project also serves to educate individuals in various lessons of the Holocaust. The film is not meant to be the only source of Holocaust education in the classroom but can be used as either a launching point or culminating activity. This guide will help educator’s effectively incorporate this film and related activities within their curriculum.

The activities included in this guide are based on classroom activities of experienced educators who have taught about the Holocaust at the secondary level. Supporting materials have been gathered from educational institutions such as the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM) and Yad Vashem.
