Misa's Fugue to Debut "Down Under"

On Thursday, May 30 Misa's Fugue will be making it's Australian premiere at the Jewish Holocaust Museum and Research Center. The Center is located in Victoria, Australia (outside of Melbourne) and works to uphold the memory of the victims of the Holocaust and educate others about this history to build a better future for the world. It was founded in 1984 by several Holocaust survivors in Melbourne and flourishes today as one of the finest centers in Australia dedicated to Holocaust education and remembrance.

The film will screen as part of the JHC Film Club program, in partnership with the Centre for Memory, Imagination and Invention, Deakin University. Following the film's screening, a Q & A will take place with director Sean Gaston and producer, Jennifer Goss via web conferencing technology. The Q & A will be moderated by Dr. Adam Brown, a professor in Media, Communication and Public Relations at Deakin's School of Communication and Creative Arts. Dr. Brown is the author of the forthcoming book, Judging 'Privileged' Jews: Holocaust Ethics, Representation and the 'Grey Zone'.
