Albright Students Skype with Misa's Fugue Producer

On Tuesday, January 15, Misa's Fugue Producer Jennifer Goss had the opportunity to conduct a Q & A session with Albright College students using the virtual technology, Skype. Students in Professor Claudia Strauss' Jewish Literature and Film course watched Misa's Fugue and then had the opportunity to speak with Goss about their viewing experience. The experience was unique in the aspect that Goss was speaking to the students from her new home in Virginia during her lunch hour via Skype instead of in person. The use of Skype and other similar technologies allows the team to interact with students and other groups, even when scheduling an in-person Q & A is difficult.

The students were very moved by the film and asked excellent follow-up questions about its production, Frank's story and themes related to the Holocaust, in general. Many students had previously learned about the subject, but several noted that viewing a personal experience really added depth to their understanding. Students also asked how they could take this viewing experience and translate it into action to assist victims of contemporary genocide.
