ROUND 2: Butter Productions Prepares to Distribute the Next 1,000 DVD's

Post date: Mar 3, 2013 1:29:45 AM

They're Heeere! The past two weeks Disc Makers was hard at work in their factory in Pennsauken, NJ, printing the next 1,000 Misa's Fugue DVDs and on Friday they were delivered and sitting in the driveway in front of the Butter Productions headquarters.

To date Butter Productions has shipped 1,000 DVDs to project donors, teachers, college professors, Holocaust Centers, churches, synagogues, etc. in, close to, every state in the country! They have shipped Misa's Fugue DVDs to a dozen countries around the world, including Canada, England, France, the Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, Poland, Israel, and Norway. Just last week Butter Productions shipped the final 2 DVDs from the first printing of Misa's Fugue to Zagreb, Croatia!

Butter Productions and the Misa's Fugue team have big plans for this next shipment of DVDs. First, all the project donors, teachers, college professors, etc. that placed orders in the past two weeks and have been patiently waiting for their DVDs will wait no more. "Those DVDs will be shipping out on Monday afternoon and should be arriving in the mail by the middle to end of next week," said Misa's Fugue Director Sean Gaston. Producer Jennifer Goss added, "about a third of this shipment will be shipped to Phoenix, AZ and Washington DC, where they will be part of some upcoming education initiatives through the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and will be put directly in the hands of Holocaust educators from all over the country." Additional DVDs will be part of the team's trip to the Phoenix Film Festival. There are also plans in the works to get the DVD into the gift shop at USHMM to coincide with the opening of the letter that Frank donated back in July, in the museums permanent exhibit. "Another 50 DVDs will be making their way to VA Beach where Frank will be speaking this coming April," said Gaston. "We have a feeling this shipment isn't going to last too long and there will most likely be a third printing."

This second printing features an updated cover image, designed by Sara Shelton, Misa's Fugue Production Designer. It denotes the film's Rachael S. Turner Award for "excellence and innovation in student journalism" that was given by the Pennsylvania School Press Association. It also denotes the two film festivals that Misa's Fugue has played, The Greater Reading Film Festival and Philadelphia Film Festival. The Phoenix Film Festival laurels also appear because the festival made their announcement just days before the order for the DVDs was placed. Missing from the cover is the New Hope Film Festival laurels, but we are pretty sure that there is going to be a third printing with those festival laurels as well. Lastly, the 4 Telly Awards for Production, Education, History/Biography, and Art Direction are also featured.

If you or someone you know has yet to make a donation to the project and would like a DVD, please make sure that you/they make a donation soon because these won't last long. Donations can be made by clicking here. If you are an educator and would like a copy please click here. As always, none of this would be possible without the continued support from all of you - Thank you!!!
