sketchbook #6

Purpose:

To practice your creative problem-solving skills on a regular basis;

To draw/paint on a regular basis.

When creating Sketchbook #7, I chose to experiment with a media I had never used before pastels. I chose the quick food and drink and decided to make a very simple breakfast. I used black for the background and white for the contour of the dish. I placed a piece of bread in the foreground of the image and then used a significant amount of red acrylic paint to make it appear as if someone had spread jam across the surface of the toast.
