VR UI Design is a new area, these links discuss good guidelines:
Do your own research to show you can explain 3-4 Design Principles / Usability Conventions
Give examples of good / bad UI.
Explain how you will apply good design conventions / UX Methods.
Use storyboards / sketches / templates / models to develop your UI and content (colour palettes, buttons shapes, info panels, 3D models, animation). Trial 3-4 options for these components & get feedback.
Try using the slide template (above). Look at the model answer (right). BUT! Remember to personalise it, use your images, write what you think (put things in your own words) whilst using the design vocabulary key words.
Don't forget to include a Design Brief & explain and address Relevant Implications / UX Methods for the internal & the external.
Aesthetics (& minimalist design) / Design Principles
Accessibility (use of colour / readability)
Usability (consistency & standards / system match real world)
Achieved: Apply conventions to develop a design for a digital technologies outcome involves:
describing the purpose of the outcome and the requirements of the end users
investigating and applying relevant conventions
generating and modelling a range of design ideas
selecting a design for the purpose of the outcome and explaining the appropriateness of the design
explaining relevant implications.
