Design Principles: Composition
You can ensure that a 2D design is good by applying Design Principles such as:
Contrast, Repetition, Alignment & Proximity or CRAP for short.
We can also use the Rule of Thirds or the Golden Ratio to align the composition or layout.
We also have tricks for good Typography (fonts) & Colour Theory.
Skuomorphism is when designs use familiar, real-world allusions and analogies, such as the Save icon Floppy disk.
