NCEA Level 1 Digital Technology achievement standards will enable students to develop skills and knowledge of tools and techniques in three areas:
Digital Media - internal project 1 - students will implement basic procedures to produce a professional media outcome through coding a website using programming languages HTML and CSS and integrating other media from the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, such as photos, animation & 3D modelling.
Computer Science - internal project 2 - Students will learn problem-solving and programming skills to develop an algorithm & a computer program using Javascritpt.
Human Computer Interaction (HCI) - external exam topic - Throughout the year students will learn about HCI and how to apply these principles to their work.
