This would be, for lack of a better term, our “trial run” in the final configuration of the RV and the van together. We wanted to make this trip close enough to home that it wouldn’t be a complete disaster if some sort of failure happened, but far enough away that it was meaningful and fun. We camped inside the park and right on the Green River.

On the way home, we stopped for a leg stretch and a dog run and stumbled across these train tracks. Kids enjoyed them VERY much and I honestly believe that they had never actually seen train tracks up close prior to this moment.

We broke up the drive home and spent one night at Wolford Mountain Reservoir just outside of Kremmling, CO.

All in all it was a smashing success. Also worth noting that this was to be the only adventure that would include our 18 year old cat “Roo”. He passed away shortly after this trip. He did seem to like Val’s lap A LOT!
