As a story driven, plot heavy roleplay game, Svajone has an ever-growing history of events. This page will provide a detailed overview of pre-game and in-game events. This includes deaths, elaboration of details within in-game events, and who was involved during them. Act Five is where things get very complex, since the island became divided into four separate packs.
If you'd like to read a shorter history and use it to build a new character, you can find a brief history of events here.
Svajone's story began six months after an event known as 'the split', in which Malaysia led her followers North and formed her own faction, Kol; thus splitting the united pack into two. All events shown here occured before the game begins.
It is thought that human and wolf had co-existed side-by-side for some time, never really crossing paths, both species too cautious of the other to approach. While there are stories and legends of the before times, the island's history is considered to begin with the Elders - Khepera, Raat, and Tume - who are widely considered to be the first wolves able to communicate with the humans. The humans, so in awe with these magnificent creatures, fell to their knees in worship. It seemed to them that only a celestial creature would be able to speak their own tongue, and the wolves were quick to lap up their newfound divinity. For a long time after, the humans ritually sacrificed their own kind in order to please their wolven gods, so that they might not exact retribution on the population. Wolves lived in luxury with want for nothing, until eventually, humankind dwindled and died out, forcing the wolves to re-learn how to live from the land.
All wolves on the island exist as one united pack. Magic is a thing that only exists in tales. No wolves have ever seen a human being, but stories of the Elders and the ancient way of life are passed down to every new generation, so that the wolves will remember to learn from their past mistakes and continue to strive for a natural and sustainable lifestyle.
(Summer 2015)
A young she-wolf named Malaysia, who has long been infatuated by power and the draw of magic, claims to be able to see spirits. She is largely ridiculed by the pack as a whole, but remains steadfast in her assertion that there is magic on the island, and that the pack - and it’s leaders - would be wise to heed her warning. Precious few listen to her, but those who lend an ear are taught ancient myths and legends, passed through generations.
(Summer 2016)
The long serving Alpha of the pack, Khonsu, passes away peacefully. Osirus is appointed as his successor, to the surprise of many, who expected his more assertive brother Amuun to take control. Once again, Malaysia breaches the subject of magic and myth - but Osirus completely refuses to entertain the thought that magic could truly exist.
(June, Summer 2017)
Amuun murders the Alpha’s mate in a jealous rage. This betrayal keeps Osirus’ attention occupied, allowing Malaysia to curry favour with others among the pack who felt their leader misguided. She finds many other wolves who share her belief that the life they live is mundane and unsuited to the Gods they truly are. They begin to talk of revolution, a return to glory, and Malaysia claims she knows of magic that will return humans to their lands. In hushed whispers, the first tendrils of her propaganda began to spread, reaching far and wide.
(December, Winter 2017)
Svajone and his crew breach the shores of the island. A number of curious wolves went to investigate the strange arrival and kept their distance. Ever the opportunist, Malaysia seized the moment, gathering every wolf who dared defy their Alpha’s orders to rush the beach and take what they believed they rightfully deserved - human sacrifice. Largely unopposed by horrified onlookers, the wolves under her command massacred Svajone and his men before taking control of the North of the island.
(June, Summer 2018, 6 months after First Split)
The island is split. The Kol, led by Malaysia, control a small territory in the North, while the Tundes, still loyal to Osirus, occupy a large segment of the South. Since the massacre there has been a tense stalemate between the two opposing sides - the Kol taking the time to assert their power over their claimed land, and the Tundes still reeling from what they witnessed. Both pack leaders are assessing their first move.
Unknown to the wolves of Almos, preoccupied by the possible threats they face from one another, the spilling of human blood seems to have reawakened the magic of the island… strange things are happening. In forests, mountains, reflections, and even dreams. Slowly but surely, wolves of both sides are seeing things that they did not expect, or things they did not even believe to be possible…
(August, Summer 2018, 8 months after First Split)
The Tundes gathered at Elysia to celebrate as they have for generations below the full moon’s light, but the festivities are interrupted by the omen of a Blood Moon. Somehow, the Kol seemed to know this event would come to pass. Guided by their Alva, kolwolves placed bones laced with wormwood at key locations in Tundes territory in anticipation...
It seemed at first like a series of unfortunate events. The Tundes were perturbed, and many Kol questioned the purpose of the ordeal. But, in the weeks that followed, it became clear that these bones were not simply a message. Wherever bones were laid, even those that remain unused in Kol lands, shadows began to move.
(January, Winter 2019, 1 year 1 month after First Split)
Osirus requests a meeting between the two sides. Below the first days of the Elder Moon, Tundes and Kol unite at Melusine Lake for the first time since the massacre on the beach. Both Alphas instruct their followers to refrain from violence and gather information. The Kol recieve a strange vision at the conclusion of the event.
(January, Winter 2019, 1 year 1 month after First Split)
It comes as a surprise when, one morning the week following the summit, both sides suffer losses. Scattered around their lands, both Kol and Tundes alike find bodies. Friends, family and allies, expired to the earth with no visible wound.
The Kol find only three among their own dead - Zara, Nyumi and Eir.
The Tundes are struck harder. They lose several - Meeku, Larkspur, Niall, Draugr, Kerrigan, Astrid. And last of all, Khepri. The Alpha’s daughter. Malaysia sends Lethe and Kviir to the South to inform them of the Kol’s dead, hoping to avoid conflict over deaths they did not cause. Very few Tundes seem to believe the message.
(April, Spring 2019, 1 year 4 months after First Split)
Osirus gathers the Tündes at Elysia to discuss what is to be done about the Kol. An alarming division in the ranks becomes clear as some argue for cooperation, some sue for peace, and others demand war. They are given orders by Osirus. No wolf may leave the territory. Borders are to be secured with help from even the omegas of the pack. Every wolf must be trained in combat. It's not war, or so he says, even if it looks like the beginnings of one...
On the northern side of the island, the Kol are summoned to Remiel to discuss their shared vision. They work together near seamlessly as Malaysia sends them searching the island for answers:
Vergil, Desdemona and Seth are sent to search Melusine Lake.
Lethe, Galenn, Sutekh and Esban are sent to search the human ruins near Tündes territory. Galenn’s wisps light the way to a spirit.
Azuolas, Raksha and Varrigan are sent to search Cliffside.
Bindweed, Fyr and Kviir are sent to search the Tyluman Mountains. Their efforts prove to be fruitful.
(June, Summer 2019, 1 year 6 months after First Split)
Only a season after the first wave of death struck the island, both packs discover more dead. This time, it seems that each victim has coughed up blood in their last moments. Perhaps it’s an illness after all...
The Kol, as before, only lose a few among their number - Saga, Immanuel, and Ivaan.
The Tundes, as before, are hit far harder - Evanora, Fiachra, Meski, Freya, Twitch, Dyana, Aspen, Bera and Toshala are found dead.
(September, Fall 2019, 1 year 9 months after First Split)
The season passes without incident in Tundes while the Kol lament the loss of two wolves, Onelia and Varrigan, before both packs are struck by a new unfamiliar frightening illness. Both north and south attempt to cure their ailing packmates as the sickness spirals. Tundes reluctantly accepts aid from Kol. The Sickness results in a single casualty: Fyr of Kol.
(November, Fall 2019, 1 year 11 months after First Split)
As a result of both pack’s haste to gather surplus herbs for their ailing packmates, there is less plant life remaining for the island’s herbivores. With winter approaching and prey scarce, Osirus reluctantly lifts the borders and sends the Tundes afield to hunt, and Malaysia orders the same of Kol. Both packs manage to take down enough prey to prepare for the bitter cold season ahead. Only one skirmish between the two rival packs occurs in the midst of it all, and even though the Tundes came away with the kill, it becomes clear to both parties that Osirus’s control of his pack is slipping.
(December, Winter 2019, 2 years after First Split)
As the last leaves fell from the trees, death visited once again. The Kol find only two fatalities, Roskva and Atka, but the Tundes - who had escaped this curse last time - are struck by eight deaths: Rannaug, Rowtag, Frostbite, Jack, Oracle, Ragweed, Jericho, and Oleander.
Much as they have been before, the bodies are found with no signs of harm, but their tongues and lips bloodied. But this time, something is different. As the news spreads, wolves come forward with accounts of peculiar behaviour befalling those now numbered among the dead...
(March, Spring 2020, 2 years 3 months after First Split)
It is almost expected now, so those still living hardly seem surprised when they discover more fallen. Of the Kol, only Sigastira is discovered to have died; and of the Tundes, only Albatross, Aleksei and Taranis. Their deaths are still felt keenly, but there are no reports of strange behaviour this time, and no blood. It is simply as though they went to sleep and did not wake.
The light and warmth of Spring begins to brighten the island, but even vibrant light can cast long shadows, and not for the first time the wolves begin to notice movements in the darkness which they cannot explain. It is not long before the first one is spotted - the spirit of a fallen friend, lingering upon the earth, their soul tethered. Slowly but surely, reports begin to crop up all over the island. Those who the island have claimed, have returned.
One evening, the spirits appear - all of them, at once, scattered around the territory. Still deaf, still blind, but this time they begin to glow. Softly at first, until it grows brighter and brighter, burning a furious white light that becomes too much to stand. All at once they howl, and every wolf of the island falls to the earth. They sleep. They dream. When Tundes and Kol wake, they find that all among their pack have shared a vision. [TUNDES] [KOL]
(May, Spring 2020, 2 years 5 months after First Split)
At first, no wolf noticed when Osirus went missing. It didn't seem strange until he had been gone for days. The Tundes fan out across the island in search of their alpha, and it's Colton who makes a heartbreaking discovery: in the shallows of the Melusine, Osirus is found dead. Grief-stricken and adrift without a successor, the southern wolves struggle to come to terms with this loss and decide their next move... but the divisions between them are more apparent than ever, and the future of the pack is uncertain.
(July, Summer 2020, 2 years 7 months after First Split)
It would be easy to forget about the new normal while so distracted by Osirus' death, but the island had not forgotten. Once more the island discovered some of their packmates dead, without wounds and without struggle. In Tundes, Soleil, Kore, Elvar and Samil were found dead; in Kol, Areias, Moa and Esban. Bizarrely, and for the first time since the island had begun to take its regular macabre payments, a few days later the Tundeswolf Gethen was found dead in the Freelands.
These deaths seemed a reminder that the loss of Osirus had not changed anything - the island was not satisfied. Not only were the Tundes still lost, at the mercy of the mystery, but now they had no leader to guide them.
Without a leader to unite them, the cracks of division within Tundes grow, and the pack divides. Yetta gathers her supporters and together they slip away in the night to take up residence in the Tyluman mountains to found Stonehaven. Lennart announces his intentions to settle the east, sending messengers to spread the word to those who refused to make the Kol their enemy, dubbing themselves the Skydas. And finally, those who would rather avoid meddling with the Kol and live at peace with the Island joined Morgur in the south as the Taika.
(September, Fall 2020, 2 years 9 months after First Split)
As the season turned, the disappearance of a few wolves across the island was slowly noticed. Those still breathing feared the worst - they searched, and true enough, the missing were discovered dead. Ilya and Asirea from Taika; Nimrod from Skydas; and Birdie, Mavec and Bear from Kol.
The manner of death was, as always, perplexing. Each fallen had made their way to a water source, and each one seemed to have an open wound. Not enough of a wound to kill, but enough to bleed, spreading crimson into the water. A wound that almost seemed... self inflicted.
It’s a few days before anyone notices that the deaths were not the end of things. As the deceased are dealt with and laid to rest, healthy wolves begin to grow feverish and violent. Investigation finds they suffer night sweats and vivid hallucinations, almost as though poisoned. Flashes that make no sense, voices and words in an ancient tongue, unfamiliar places. While they recover quickly, it soon becomes clear that the water sources where dead were found have become tainted. The affected packs must now search for small brooks and ponds to drink, or even travel beyond their borders to quench their thirst in the Freelands.
Curiously, Stonehaven seemed unaffected, and no fallen were found within their borders. They remained the only pack unscathed by the blight, and thus closed their borders to protect the purity of their water sources, leaving outsiders to seek clear waters elsewhere.
(Winter Season 2020, 3 years after First Split)
The island moves into it's first winter as four separate packs, and are relieved to find that whatever blight had been set on their water sources seems to have faded. But for one pack, this new does not come without consequence - for in Stonehaven, the only pack who's water remained clean, four wolves perished. Word quickly spreads that Wolnir, Ariam, Tyr and Calypso had grown feverish the day prior to their deaths, and all four were found, unmarked but stone cold, in water.
A vision of Lake Ismintis is seen by wolves across all four packs, brewing confusion and unease. In Skydas, Lennart calls a forum to discern meaning from this new vision and others that have been reported by eastern wolves. Stonehaven is snowed-in during late winter and weathers the storm inside their Sanctum, unable to emerge until the snow thaws in the spring.
(March, Spring 2021, 3 years 3 months after First Split)
The first winter of division gives way to spring. But while the season is hoped to bring life, it seems that once again the island reaps from those who call it home. All packs but Stonehaven find a few of their number dead, with no signs of illness or injury. This time, the dead are found beside a strange symbol built out of stones: one large stone in the centre, with a circle of stones around it.
In Skydas, it is Olin and Juniper who are found fallen. They are discovered by Vashti and Elara at the northern bank of the Twins, laid on either side of their strange stone symbol. The discovery is reported to Lennart, and soon word filters through the pack. A quick headcount confirms no further losses, and Lennart instructs the pack to avoid the area until the deceased are given their proper rights and laid to rest. Afterward, Skydas are free to investigate the stone circle.
Wylla and Orianthi are tracking the return of the herds when they come across a familiar pelt, as Raat’s Pass widens to face the Mere. Fitch, unknown to any, had been exiled from Stonehaven in mid-winter - found dead by the two Skydans. Orianthi heads to fetch Lennart while Wylla remains with Fitch, and while she is alone, she notices that he is laid beside a strange circle of stones. Exactly as the circle in Skydas.
In Taika, Nawantok and Virva are discovered slain. Neeve and Petra make the grim discovery at the foot of the First Tree. Preoccupied by the dead, they almost miss it, hidden among the heather - the strange circle of stones between the two fallen. The discovery is reported swiftly to Morgur, who inspects the scene, and remarks that it must be a message from the island. The dead are given their proper funeral rites, and while Taikans are instructed not to disturb the stones, they are free to observe them as they please.
Kol finds itself embroiled in an evening of chaos. Orchis, Riikka and Veles are keeping the night’s watch at Remiel. Veles holds the first gate as wolves approach, each one carrying one or two stones in their mouths. Vera, Wally, Desmond and Kniv. He commands them to stop, but they seem deaf to his words, pushing past him towards Remiel. Veles sounds the alarm to summon Orchis and Riikka from their posts, but even when faced by reinforcements the wolves do not halt or react at all.
In the end the Adnos resort to using force to prevent passage. The four trespassers react with sudden and explosive violence. They outnumber the Adnos, but luckily Veles's howl roused the attention of others beyond Remiel. Sparrow, Beck and Azuolas arrive to assist in subduing the offenders. Orchis is sent to fetch Malaysia, but by the time she arrives with more Dios in tow, all four are dead. The witnesses report that they simply closed their eyes and stopped breathing.
The following day, Malaysia discovers a strange stone circle outside the entrance to Remiel. She does not reveal it to the Kol, and leaves it intact.
Time passes in Stonehaven, and no lives are claimed. It seems that once more, Yetta’s promised haven has kept her followers safe from harm. It is a week or more into Spring when Tenoch finds something peculiar on a plateau of the peak of Khepera’s Teeth. A circle of stones, and he’s fairly certain it hadn’t been there before. It is reported to Yetta, who is initially inclined to destroy it. However, she resolves to gather the Acolytes so that they can give their input. All other packmates are not to interact with the stones until they know it is safe.
(April 2021, 3 years 4 months after First Split)
One year after the fracture of Tundes, Skydas extended invitations to Stonehaven and Taika for the three splinter packs to meet.
Both packs accepted, and Yetta led her chosen wolves to the gathering while Morgur appointed Nia in his stead. While the packs mingled the three Alphas met to share news. Clashing beliefs became more evident than ever, and the three parted ways more bitterly than they had arrived.
In Kol, Malaysia calls wolves blessed with magic to meet her beyond the gate of Remiel. Fifteen wolves answer the call, and Malaysia soon reveals why she has gathered them. By piecing together visions and whispers from the Keres spirits, she has uncovered the next step on their path to godhood: A wolf blessed with magic, must infiltrate the west, and touch upon a special inscription hidden in the mountains...
Upon returning to the mountains, Yetta was informed that Sigrid and Runa had discovered a strange symbol etched into the stone, high in Khepera's Teeth. Having learned of the circles across the island, Yetta - more certain than ever that the symbols were dangerous in nature - gathered her pack at the stone circle, and destroyed it.
As spring gave way into summer, Stonehaven found no casualties once more. Taika too passed the season without consequence.
In Skydas, two more wolves were discovered beside the stone circle - Snegir and Betony. The pack mourns, but lingering suspicion troubles Lennart. He sends Hecate and Hawthorn to the stone circle in Raat's Pass, where Fitch had previously been discovered, and true enough, discovers another body. Though she was much younger when last seen, in the time of Tundes, she is identified as Usoa. Word is returned to Lennart, who orders that she be buried and laid to rest beside Fitch.
In Kol, everything repeats. The Adnos are on high guard, but it still comes as a surprise when Freyja tries to scale the steps of Remiel. He is unresponsive, as though in a daze. The alarm is raised by Dianna, drawing Yaotyl and Asra to her aid. Freyja is outnumbered and easily subdued, but as before, he closes his eyes, and soon after, stops breathing.
(May-June 2021, 3 years 6 months after First Split)
Beneath the Birch Moon, Malaysia summons all ranked Kol to meet at nightfall before the Keres Oak. Together they invoke the power of the Keres Spirits with a blood sacrifice. Soon after, great wave is summoned to strike Taika in the early days of summer...
It started off a day like any other. Summer brought with it the usual blistering southern heat. The wolves of Taika sought shade and water to stay cool, and wait out the daytime hours. The first warning came from the earth below, in the form of a tremble. The sand shifted underfoot without any pressure from a paw, and if you stood on the beach, or the cliff of Elysia, you could feel the ground shaking, growing more violent...
The first wolves to notice were uncertain what it meant. Morgur instructed that all Taikans should move inland until the shores calmed. It was just a precaution. From a distance, from vantage points, some curious wolves watched as the tide withdrew, farther and farther out than it had ever gone before, until the ocean seemed to have disappeared over the horizon. But it was not gone. It was only waiting. A distant rumbling drew attention, and Taikans were surprised to see a wave on the horizon, moving faster than the tide ever did, growing taller and closer by the second. They realised, quite suddenly, that they were all in mortal danger. The wolves of Taika fled through forest, glen and mountain to escape. [First Tree, Southwood, Tvirtove]
By the time the water stilled, Taikans were dispersed across the island.
Cyprus, Ruzan, Kai, Vaerinaerla, and Loa washed westward and were discovered by a Stonehaven patrol. Sukka, Monroe and Yselin discover them at the God's Pass, and lead them to the Vale to recover.
Exhausted and sheltering near the Ithunwood, Elfrida, Moirae, Keiran, Qwil and Echo were happened upon by Malaysia herself, who ventured south with Varekai and Callista to see her handiwork firsthand - unbeknownst to the Taikans. She leads the small group of survivors to shelter in the north.
The majority of survivors headed east, and were discovered by Skydas patrols. Upon learning what happened, Lennart dispatched his wolves to search for others, bringing them to Skydas. With most of the pack sheltered in the east, they wait for the floodwater to subside and worry about the fates of the missing - and indeed, of Morgur, of whom there has been no sign at all...
(September-November, Autumn 2021, 3 years 9 months after First Split)
After the catastrophe of the wave, Taikans were scattered over the island. Small groups found safety in Stonehaven and Kol, with the majority of the pack sheltering and recovering in the East with the Skydans. The east has searched throughout summer for survivors, but despite finding the group in the west, many packmates remain unaccounted for.
As summer ends, scouts report the floodwaters receding, meaning that searching is safer and more of the ruined territory can now be accessed. Taika and Skydas venture south to try to begin the long process of cleaning up. Together, they begin to clear debris, remove or bury unfortunate prey that has begun to rot, check old dens for survivors, inspect the safety of the different areas of territory, and try to prepare their territory for the pack's eventual return.
During their searches, Skydas and Taika recover the bodies of several missing packmates lost to the wave - Nimue, Alucard and Mythos. They also discover Morgur's white raven, who did not survive, but still no sign of the Akis himself.
A small number of previously missing Taikans arrive in Skydas and are reunited with their pack, having sheltered in Stonehaven. Others are still missing, and unknown to the Taikans, are sheltering in Kol.
Seasons come with an expectation of death for most, and the island makes no exception in times of crisis.
Skydas are dismayed, but not surprised, to find a body by their stone circle: Loch.
In the peaks of Stonehaven, most believe themselves protected from the curses set upon the land. This season they are alarmed to discover Ifreit dead, laid within something even more perplexing. The stone circle. The exact one the Vadja had kicked off the mountain not two seasons prior.
At autumn's end, Riikka and Lanval arrive at Stonehaven's borders claiming to have fled Kol - secretly, they're to infiltrate the west under Malaysia's orders. Their troubled tale and Riikka's immunity to magic is convincing enough for Rictus and Raatek vouch their entry to the west.
Far from honored guests, they are taken to the fringes of the Vale and guarded by Otsoko, Nerio, Mar and Psyche, given only scraps of food. Only high ranking acolytes are allowed to interact with them under Raatek's guidance. No other Haveners may encroach on the site.
Adel and Menulis are enlisted to validate if Riikka's claims of immunity are true, they are the only other Haveners permitted to interact with her.
In the north, Kol expect another attack on Remiel. But to the surprise of the Adnos, Malaysia instructs that if any wolf should appear on the stairs in a trance, they must allow them entry. With a contingency positioned beyond the last gate but before the plateau of the temple, the Alva herself waited at the top of Remiel, beside the stone circle - still a closely guarded secret. Sure enough, the Adnos watched as Gnaeus slowly scaled the climb.
None but Malaysia know what he did when he reached the top, and the Adnos report hearing no disturbances. He died shortly after.
(December-March, Winter 2021-Spring 2022, 4 years 3 months after First Split)
Taika is relieved when their Akis resurfaces at last. With the return of Morgur, they journey home to rebuild, and begin preparing for winter.
A number of Taikans choose either to stay in Skydas or travel elsewhere, leaving the south diminished and bonds fractured once again. Some wolves who remained loyal to Taika still have lingering doubts about their home and their leader, who seems less confident in himself than ever…
Come spring, Sloane and Favour are found dead beside the stone circle.
In Stonehaven, the stone circle has been reconstructed by Credence and Europa while the majority of the pack was abroad, preparing for winter. This time when the pack gathers to hear Farrah's recounting of what happened, Yetta chooses not to destroy the structure, and it remains on the plateau as the pack is once again snowed-in within their Sanctum for the remainder of winter.
Fiddle, Lincoln, and Zaim went missing in the spring, their bodies later recovered deep in the mountain reaches. It is widely believed they fell prey to Khepera’s Teeth.
Around the same time, Riikka and Lanval's interrogation ends amicably, and the pair are allowed to join Stonehaven as foundlings.
In Skydas, Usha witnesses the stone circle claim the lives of Varnas and Nikare at the turn of winter. A bright light flashed from the site that prevented her from seeing how they died, but once it faded, only their bodies remained. The pack is shaken by the loss.
A meeting is held between parties led by Lennart and Malaysia, and an alliance between Skydas and Kol is forged. To seal their agreement Eidolon is surrendered to the Skydas party, revealed to be the true killer of one of the east's seekers, Aira.
Months later, in the early days of spring Lennart gathers his packmates to celebrate spring and new beginnings, rallying the pack’s morale with hopes that the future will be brighter. Orianthi, Pariah, and Levute perish not long after.
For the first time, the island also gives back a life that was taken. Aira, inexplicably returned from the dead.
The Kol are not surprised when a small number of wolves arrive to ascend Remiel, come winter. The Adnos are positioned on the stairs in order of rank, starting from the Eiti at the foot and growing to Kilti at the top. Once again, they are instructed to allow them to pass, and as before, when Morael, Djekare, and Carrion enter Remiel, only Malaysia witnesses what occurs.
Balthazar, Yaotyl, Asra, Orchis and Azuolas bear witness to the stone circle when called to retrieve the fallen. They are sworn to silence by the Alva.
The five Taikans brought to Kol are approached by Malaysia, who informs them they can now return to their territory now that it’s safe… or they may remain, and join the Kol. Elfrida, Qwil, Kieran and Echo choose to stay in Kol.
In the spring, the Kol are surprised when Remiel is left undisturbed. They begin to wonder if this time the north has been spared, but midway through the season, Varekai and Macabre arrive to make their climb. They react to the Adnos’ intervention with violence and perish before they could cross the first gate.
(October, Fall 2022, 4 years and 10 months after First Split)
In early autumn, Riikka and Lanval are aided by Undine - whose true allegiance lies with the Kol, unbeknownst to Stonehaven - and gain access to the stone carving. A few weeks later, the two return to the site in secret and Lanval smears his blood upon the stone as directed, causing the mountain to quake and drawing the attention of Haveners nearby...
As light pulses across the plateau and three shadows manifest to aid the infiltrators, Stonehaven and Kol clash in the Teeth. During the battle, Raatek and Seren tried to stop their packmates from attacking the Kolwolves and obstruct justice. Runa turned against their packmates, choosing to side with the spirits. Though Stonehaven managed to vanquish the spirits, they suffered a humiliating defeat when Lanval unleashed his powerful magic.
All are powerless to prevent the glowing crack in the mountainside as it splinters. Only Riikka, immune to the howl, and can watch as an opening forms. A voice rumbles through the echoes of Lanval’s scream, and only Riikka hears it: Between two sides, the gate will speak.
With every creature within earshot incapacitated, Lanval and Riikka escape to the north. After the effects of the scream finally subside, within the yawning opening, Stonehaven discovers the bodies of three wolves thought lost: Bennu, Tusco, and Fiachara.
While the wolves of Stonehaven were locked in battle, all at once, the stone circles across the island began to glow. Almos plunged into momentary chaos as magic broke loose, and all those who wielded it were unable to prevent the sudden, uncontrollable surge of their power.
In Skydas, the glow of the stone circle can easily be missed, as the grasses grow tall and the Twins are in full flow. It is not until after the magical surge has abated, that Nerudas and Kyla are discovered by the circle, cold and still.
In Kol, the glow of the stone circle goes unnoticed, hidden as it is within the entrance of the forbidden temple of Remiel. In the midst of the surge, one Kolwolf collapses - and does not wake. Corin is discovered in the Mirrorwood, dead.
In Taika, the glow of the stone circle draws attention - but not from wolves who will be able to tell their story. It is Nia and Melyna who gravitate toward it, unnoticed until it is too late. Their bodies are discovered below the empty boughs of the First Tree.
A few days after the chaos of the surge subsides, Sukka arrives at Skydas's borders seeking asylum after he and Runa were exiled from Stonehaven. Concerned by the former acolyte's description of the events that transpired in the Teeth, Lennart meets with Malaysia to hear her side of the story.
By the end of the Alva's carefully crafted tale, the Skydans are convinced - and hopeful - that Riikka and Lanval's mission was the first step on the right path to deciphering the island's messages...
(March to July 2023, 5 years and 6 months after First Split)
In Stonehaven, for the first time since the fracture that tore Tundes in three, the Vajda convenes her Valonqar, or war council. As the newly-appointed Archs of their trades, Kalnas, Tenoch, Farrah, and Branka meet with their leader in a private chamber to discuss how they might avenge Riikka and Lanval’s betrayal. When the Valonqar emerges from Sanctum, they come bearing the promise of justice: the war with the Kol has finally begun.
The Vajda orders direct attacks on Kolwolves, starting with those scouting in the freelands. Kalnas and Branka set out to assemble their raiding parties. Stonehaven begins its war with Kol, starting with an ambush, a trap, and a river turned red.
While their soldiers roam abroad the western pack also looks inward, setting their sights on the cavern that was opened by the traitorous Kol. Farrah and Tenoch work together, directing their subordinates to investigate the mysterious tunnel that was carved into their mountain fortress...
In Taika, change comes with the turn of spring when Morgur gathers his followers for a final address. Elara of Skydas had come to him citing repeated dreams that urged her to heal, the island calling to her in the same way it once did him. He told the pack, as he had told Elara, that the island had chosen a new path for them: one where he must step aside.
Elara ascends to Akis of Taika.
(December 2023 to February 2024, 6 years and 2 months after First Split)
Taika is finally once more upon stable footing; something which the Akis believes each of the other three packs had no small part in. Stonehaven, Skydas and Kol all hosted refugees in their time of need and offered help and support when it was most needed. For this, Taika wishes to give thanks.
Elara instructs her messengers to travel to each pack bearing the gratitude of the south. Taika wishes to recognize how much each pack helped them in their time of need, and does so by offering a gift; a bundle of healing plants and herbs to help for the winter ahead. As Taika heals, so too does Almos.
Arlen and Rigel travel east to Skydas, met at the border by Randvi and Orion.
Bela and Etna journey north to Kol, where their message is received at the border by Beck and Daeva.
In the west, Alvyra and Hollyhock deliver thanks to Stonehaven, met at the border by Psyche, Huron and Fergal.
Moved by Taika's gesture, Lennart summons messengers from Skydas's ranks. Each pair is to extend an invitation to Stonehaven and Taika for another gathering at Raat’s Pass… and this time, he also extends one to Kol. It is both an ally’s courtesy, and a bid for peace before more blood is shed.
Toril and Quesnel travel to Taika. Their message is delivered to Ieva and Bellis, who were tending the guest dens at the borders.
Casimir and Halvar are dispatched to Stonehaven. They are met stiffly at the border by Akeldama and Tevas.
Andorh, in his position as a representative to Kol, delivers the invitation to the North. He is met at the border by Vergil and Maggie.
While Stonehaven is confined to Sanctum by late winter storms, the Vajda gathers her kith to announce revelations brought by the foundling Sparrow: the Kol were responsible for Taika’s flood, and Skydas has allied with the north. True or not, their sister packs deserve to know of the Kol's treachery... and Yetta intends to accept Lennart's invitation to do just that, in a last attempt to make Skydas and Taika see reason.

Once again Raat's Pass sees a convening of packs in mid-spring, only this time, the Kol descend from the north to visit with the fragmented wolves of Tundes as well. The peaceful meeting goes without bloodshed, but tensions run high as wolves from all corners of the island grapple with disturbing news from the west...
As the packs gather peacefully in the Pass for the second time, four leaders come together for the first. Tensions quickly rise as accusations are made, and compelling arguments are raised by all sides... in the end, the lines that divide the wolves of Almos are only made more stark than ever.
Unwilling to share space with Malaysia and her ilk, and incensed that Kol's invitation was deliberately concealed from them, the Stonehaven party left the Pass on the first day. Skydas, Taika, and Kol remain in the valley for the full three days of the gathering.
In Kol, The Alva's mood upon returning from the Gathering is not a happy one: her exchanges at Raat's Pass had been, she hoped, fairly effective at discrediting the North's enemies, but the careful and deliberate nature of her political movements is taxing. And immediately threatened, for she returns to find her own pack in disarray.
Riikka reports that Bindweed and Qwil have deserted the North with the intent of sharing Kol secrets, aided by a Taikan trespasser and Galenn, who was apprehended. She had yet to even deal with Odilio, still rotting in his guarded prison, not knowing that the truths he was captured for threatening to reveal have long since flooded Almos.
To make matters worse, Kviir - a long trusted ally - has vanished along with one of the indas, Vashti.
Traitors lay beneath every stone. The order comes swiftly, and Kol borders are closed. No wolf in, and no wolf out. The North waits in anticipation for the sting of Malaysia's bite, which is sure to follow.

Using Galenn’s blood as a sacrifice, Malaysia summons the Keres spirits, to enhance the powers of the wolves she has gathered. Brick’s amplification is supercharged, lending yet more strength to Heel and Echo, who have been given one simple instruction. Make the North forget. In the darkness, the Keres spirits carry the Alva’s command.
Morning light brings sadness to the isle. In the east, Rook, Svea and Puffin do not wake from their slumber. In the south, Harlow and Vaerinaerla. In the west, only Brassica. And in the North, three lose their lives. Isolde. Andras. Noctua.
While they keep their lives, the surviving Kol do not seem to know that something has been taken from them, too. Perhaps they will never know. They cannot miss that which they do not remember…
All in the North have lost their memory of the blood ritual which caused the tidal wave.
