Much like its lengthy history, Svajone has also seen many visions throughout its running. This page is a record of all the messages the island has sent to its inhabitants, which characters have experienced visions, and which visions have been shared over time.
KOL VISION
Witnessed by: All Kol present at the Summit
Every Kol sees a spectral wolf on the surface of the Melusine, and hear it utter Aperio. The earth shakes and a bright light shines, and the Kol are beneath the lake when it fades. The faint outlines of five wolves are whispering urgently until a voice booms that "She is here." Darkness falls, and the Kol are suddenly back at the lake.
Witnessed by: Team 2 (Lethe, Galenn, Sutekh, Esban)
At the river ruins near the end of the Brook, Galenn's wisps light a trail leading him and his team to the structures closest to the Tündes border. There they find an ebbing, dim figure of a wolf which murmurs "Degero" and then howls, loud enough to cut across the land. Malaysia is informed of what happened and concludes Degero must be important somehow...
Witnessed by: Team 4 (Bindweed, Fyr, Kviir)
Shared with: The Akis, Taika's lorekeepers, Jorel
In the uncharted western mountains, the fourth team is alerted by a howl that leads them to a plateau where five faint, spectral wolves are gathered. They don't speak and seem to walk into the mountainside, but upon closer inspection, the team realizes the wall is a pile of rubble left long undisturbed. Digging away loose stones reveals a glimpse of a tunnel behind the wreckage, and the team reports their findings to the Alva. They are ordered to keep the information to themselves.
Witnessed by: Galenn, Maggie, Malaysia
Shortly after the return of the search parties, Galenn and Maggie sneaks into Remiel on Galenn's insistence that it holds the key to understanding the vision Kol saw at the Melusine. Within they find a mirror, and while Maggie's reflection is ordinary, Galenn's shows an unfamiliar wolf which whispers a message to him alone: "Child of Raat, pure of blood, on temple stone, power stood." They are discovered by Malaysia who demands an explanation for their trespassing, and Galenn tells her the message.
Witnessed by: All Tundes, Brick

One evening, the spirits appear - all of them, at once, and they begin to glow, brighter and brighter until the light becomes too much to stand. All at once they howl, and every wolf of Tündes falls to the earth. They dream of a young Khepera and her grandmother visiting the lake, and hear the legend of a wolf who, with the help of four disciples, became the conduit through which all magic ran. This power corrupted them, and their followers bound their soul beneath the lake so they could not bring destruction to Almos. A spell was cast to make the island forget, and the conduit's name was lost, but grandmother leaves Khepera with the names of the four: Aperio. Fatus. Degero. Necto. The Tundes reel upon awakening, and Brick - who had sheltered in the south after falling into the Brook - hurried to bring the vision to Malaysia upon her return north.
Witnessed by: All Kol
Shared with: Lennart, Wylla & Andorh, Skydas
The spirits of fallen Kol appear, just as they did in Tündes, and all at once they howl. Every wolf of Kol falls to the earth; they sleep, and dream of the five who walked together. Deep into mountains rarely traveled, the figures reached a plateau, and one approached the mountainside to find where claws had scratched a simple inscription in the stone. “It’s here,” The fifth said, and nodded to one of their companions to come forward. This wolf dragged their paw across the stone until a sharp edge drew blood, and with their wound upon the inscription, they spoke: “Aperio.” The gate opened.

Wolves from all corners of the island experience a strange vision: they sit beside Lake Išmintis, looking at their reflection in the still water, though they don't know why. Night has fallen, so they turn to walk into the forest, walking and walking only to arrive back at the lake. A single raven caws above. Again and again they try to leave, always returning to the water's edge and the raven. Finally, they look up, and this time the raven speaks in wolven tongue: "Everything repeats."
Witnessed by: All Kol who answered the summons to the Oak
Shared with: Yetta & The Valonqar, Stonehaven (Blood In the Water), Jorel, Almantas, Moirae, Sweetpea & Tamsyn
The ranked Kol who gathered to give blood to the Keres Oak bore witness to the power their sacrifice achieved. Where blood was spilled, rivulets of red snaked up the roots and filled the Alva with dark power, whispers filling the air as the blood gathered below her paws. The whispers turned into a chant as the Keres Spirits revealed themselves, their voices climbing to a roar as they burned with bright light, and the Kol became compelled to chant: auka, elárul, nuskęsti, merül. There was a flash of light, and a rush of air, before darkness fell over the Oak once more.

The day that the wave struck Taika, twelve wolves had no choice but to flee east, towards the First Tree. A ringing drew them to the stone circle, softly glowing amidst the roots. Amberly is compelled to urge everyone to place a paw on the stones – and together they put their faith in the island. The stones glowed brighter, and the pale figure of a wolf appeared in the middle of the circle, then vanished as a shield of light surrounded the Tree and saved the Taikans within from a watery end.
Witnessed by: Riikka, Lanval, and all Haveners present for the Battle in the Teeth
Shared with: Lennart, Wylla & Andorh, Skydas (via the Paladins), Jorel, Bindweed
Having finally reached the stone carving, Lanval and Riikka enact their Alva's ritual. The mountain quakes as the bloodied carving begins to glow, circles of light rippling across the stone from the markings in the centre. Three spectres rise to defend the Kol infiltrators as Haveners reach the plateau and battle unfolds – but their efforts cannot stop the Gate from opening. A powerful surge causes wolves across the island to experience their abilities going out of control. Only Riikka, immune to Lanval’s debilitating scream, witnesses the spirit revealed by the sundered mountain. To her alone, it imparts a message: “Between two sides, the Gate will speak.”
On a night like any other, wolves across the island are visited by a silent vision. They witness the rise of the conduit Karhu and their four disciples, Aperio, Degero, Fatus, and Necto. All five shadowed, mysterious, barely distinguishable save for glimpses of their features and immense power... but Karhu is recognizable in the way they become mad with power, corrupted by the magic they possess. Their followers turn on them, using the stone circles and a powerful spell to seal the enchanter, seemingly at the cost of all their lives.

NOT YOU, STRANGER THINGS
Witnessed by: Nia
Nia was the last to see Rowtag alive. She came across him standing motionless, which struck her as strange. When she slowed her approach he lashed out, pinning her to the ground with teeth bared, but paused - his eyes found hers but seemed empty of presence. He muttered, "Not you," and released her before stalking off into the forest, and a few hours later he was found dead. Nia tells Morgur and Undine what she experienced, and word reaches both Osirus and Malaysia, after Undine relays the tale to rhete Posie.
Witnessed by: Adel
Adel was the last to see Rannaug alive. She was sitting with her closed, but said she could see him when he approached. She also said that he couldn't hide in the darkness anymore. He tried to laugh it off, but she did not smile. “The gate will open,” she told him solemnly, before she stood and strode away, eyes still shut. The einar had so many questions, but when he sought Rannaug out again a few hours later... he found her dead. Adel then hurried to tell Osirus what happened.
Witnessed by: Monroe
Monroe was the last to see Jericho alive, and told no one what they saw. He was clawing at the base of a tree, as if he was looking for something, and did not respond to any of their attempts to find out what he was doing. No matter what they tried, he did not answer. Quick to blame the North for this strange illness that had overtaken him, Monroe left to find help, but when they returned Jericho was gone - leaving behind only five neatly arranged mounds of dirt. A few hours later, Jericho was dead.
Witnessed by: Mythos
Mythos was the last to see Frostbite alive. He was crossing the border, walking with purpose, but when Mythos asked why he said only, "I need to find the caverns." When asked which caverns, he simply repeated himself. Hours passed and there was no sign of the brown wolf returning, so Mythos followed his scent out into the Freelands - only to find Frostbite long dead. He told only Morgur and Nia what he saw.
HE WHO GOES THERE, REVELATIONS
Witnessed by: Grimm
Grimm was the last to see Jack alive, and told no one for fear of being blamed. Jack had been sitting at the southern cliffs, watching the waves crash against the island's edge, and when Grimm approached he did not respond - as if he didn't notice him at all. All attempts to speak to him and coax him away from the cliffs are met with silence. Eventually, he spoke: “All that sleeps, must wake.” Grimm asked what he meant, but the pale wolf returned to silence, so he wandered away none the wiser that a few hours later, Jack would be found dead. Months later, when the ghosts of the fallen walked among the living, the reappearance of Jack’s spirit inspired Grimm to share his parting message with Logan.
Witnessed by: Kore
Kore was the last to see Ragweed alive, and told no one. He was frantic when he ran into her, insisting that he needed to find Osirus. When she asked why he seemed to sink into himself, which was very out of character, and professed that Osirus was in danger. From what, she asked, to which he replied he didn't know. She said she would help him find the Alpha, but the grey male snarled at her in a fury: "I will find him myself." He rushed off before she could question him further, and a few hours later Ragweed was dead.
Witnessed by: Eztli
Eztli was the last to see Roskva alive - in a manner of speaking. He was foraging alone when she approached, and he closed his eyes for a moment, to listen better. Her voice murmured in his ear: "Aperio." His eyes opened, and for the briefest moment he could see the forest, but as quickly as the sight arrived, it was gone. There was a smile in her voice when she spoke again, "The gate will open." She was gone before he could question it, and a few hours later, Roskva was dead. Eztli told Epione, and she informed Malaysia.
Witnessed by: Riikka
Riikka was the last to see Atka alive. It was a normal night guarding the gates of Remiel, until he approached, trying to ascend the stairs to the temple. She stopped him and he seemed agitated, pacing and refusing to meet her gaze, ignoring her warnings to leave. When at last he turned away, he left mumbling in no language the Adnos had ever heard spoken before, and a few hours later Atka was dead. Riikka reported the incident to the Alva personally.
Witnessed by: Sigrid & Runa
While the Tundes packs gathered in the Pass for the first time since the fracture, a discovery is made in the western mountains. Pathfinders Sigrid and Runa come across an eerie symbol carved in the mountainside: one hollow round in the middle, and around it, a circle of crude marks, like tiny fangs had pierced stone as easily as they could skin. In Yetta's absence, they reported their finding to Tenoch and Raatek.
Years later, after Runa's exile from Stonehaven leads them to Skydas, they share the tale and what the carving looked like with Lennart.
THISTLE
Adel awakens in a surreal dreamscape, standing on a mysteriously restored version of the God's Pass. Two ghostly figures—the Elders, Raat and Tume—appear, speaking of a she-wolf “becoming difficult.” Tension hangs in the air as they imply that, should she achieve her goals, “everything will end.” Adel jolts awake, shaken and certain it wasn’t just a dream.

STAY TRUE
Amberly dreams of distant violence and three paths: one bright, one alongside a raging river, and one cloaked in darkness. She chooses the dark path. As she travels, eerie silence falls and unblinking eyes watch her from the shadows. Eventually, owls appear, then fall dead to the ground, transforming into wolves she once knew—alive and dead alike. Only one owl remains, delivering a cryptic message: “Stay true to trade, Peacekeeper. Even if divided. The Tundes must stay true.” Amberly awakens, wondering what the dream’s meaning was and whether or not it truly was just a dream.

THE KEY
While sleeping, Amberly dreams of speaking with someone who feels deeply familiar—like a long-lost relative. They tell her a story, but its details are lost to the haze, yet one word manages to cut through it: Aperio. When asked what it means, her companion replies simply—”Open.”

A vision of Lake Ismintis visits Amberly. The moon is full, and the lake has bled its banks, stretching as far as the eye can see with broken trees all around. Strewn like fallen leaves around her paws are her packmates, lifeless and as still as the water... except for one. Morgur. He turns towards her, his single eye an unfamiliar blue, and the voice he speaks with is not his own: "Heal." All at once the gruesome scene melts away, her packmates once more alive and well beneath the moonlight. Calling towards a figure in the lake, "Akis. Akis. Akis" Where the shadow of Morgur once stood, a light materializes. A wolf, with cream and gray fur, and amber eyes.
ARISEN
Awakening a year after her death, Aira visits Lennart in need of aid. She reveals a dream she had while… in-between worlds. Aira tells him of wading into a vast and shallow ocean, one filled with voices—voices that grew louder, like a chorus of howling wolves. Unable to make out anything they were saying, the noise overwhelmed her. Aira’s throat tightened, and she fell beneath the surface. Then she awoke into the real world.

THE DREAM
Bellis dreams of a still lake. As the scene sharpens, the smell of blood, unmistakable and acrid, overwhelms her, and she soon realizes that the smell comes, not from wolves, but from human bodies, lying across the banks. Their blood streams across the water, though it doesn’t dissipate. Instead, it forms vein-like paths that converge toward the center, where an untouched circle remains. It begins to glow—and Bellis awakens, startled.

WAKE UP
Elara dreams of the foothills of the eastern mountains—a place beyond Tundes territory and rarely visited. She looks around and sees few yet familiar faces standing solemnly. A voice cuts through the oppressive air—“The Alpha is coming”—but when Elara turns, expecting to find Osirus, someone else stands in his place. She cannot make out their features, and when they open their mouth, black tendrils creep out towards her, dulling her senses. A single word echoes before she wakes—”Necto.”
Shared with: Logan, Lennart, Jorel
In her dream, Elara sees Khepera and Tume in conversation. Khepera breaks the stiff silence—“I have seen the future,” she reveals, yet Tume questions the validity of her dream. Khepera insists upon it, claiming it felt more than a dream—it was a vision. Relenting, Tume prompts her to share more about the future of their isle. After a moment of foreboding silence, Khepera finally replies: “Power. Raw, indestructible, power.” More than the Elders already have, more than Almos has ever seen.

HEAL
Elara dreams of a whisper, only a word—”Heal”—repeated three times before she steps out of her den, only to find herself in a strange place. Under the full moon, a vast lake stretches before her, with a lone, shadowy figure standing in its waters. As she approaches, the figure sinks beneath the surface. Just before they vanish, the word “Heal” echoes again—this time whispered by a thousand more voices.
SEEKING ANSWERS
Elara expects another cryptic dream urging her to heal, but this time is different. The figure in the lake does not vanish—it waits. As she draws closer, she recognizes Morgur, who beckons her beneath the glowing full moon. Blinding light floods the scene, and once more she hears the word “heal”. When Elara opens her eyes, she remains alone by the lake, now bathed in warm summer sunlight, and though she does not recognize the wolves on the shore, she knows she is surrounded by peace and joy.

WAITING FOR YOU
Halvar dreams of a strange place, moonlight shimmering through water above him. Behind, pawsteps approach—he turns to see the late Osirus smiling. “We’ve been waiting for you,” Osirus says, as more of their fallen packmates emerge from the shadows.

DREAM OF THE PAST
Three figures walk together through a mountainous path, their silence fraught with tension. They reach a plateau, remarking at the beauty of the hidden fortress. “No wonder the Tyluma hid up here for so long,” one of them says, though another insists it’s only legend. They spot scratches on an old, carved inscription on a stone, and two figures hold their breath as the third one cuts their paw on the rocks and presses against the engraved stone. "Aperio," they whisper—and the mountain rumbles.

TOGETHER
Khepri dreams of Osirus’s voice calling to her, sounding distant and strange–as though at the bottom of a cavern, echoing and leaving her wracked with confusion. She finds her father drinking from the Brook, Ibis by his side. Distraught by the sight of her departed mother, Khepri collapsed, prompting both her parents to approach with worried faces as Ibis asked, “Are you not happy, my daughter? We are together.” Osirus is silent despite Khepri’s confusion, and then she sees it: an owl perched over their heads. Finally her father seems to wake, smiling as he echoes, “We are together.”

VIGIL
A young red wolf holds vigil for an elder laid in a meadow of wildflowers. Another youth joins her– one of the fabled Elders, Raat. The first admits she doesn’t know what to do without the elderly wolf they rest beside, but Raat tells her his family has always believed the dead don’t cease to exist. “They simply move into a different existence, a world parallel to ours.” The she-wolf is uncertain; she always believed the otherworld was just another of her grandmother’s stories, and Raat agrees it could be. “But wouldn’t it be nice to think they’re not far away?”
RUIN
Limos dreams of the Spire, which seems less ruined than he remembers, and the fringes of the Ithunnwood less vast and thick. A wolf passes by and doesn’t seem to notice him at all, gazing up at the tower. A flash of lightning cracks, so bright he shuts his eyes, and when he opens them the dream has turned from day to night. Rain batters him as he watches the Spire crumble apart, and then he sees the stranger is dead. Their body lies on the earth, blood watering the soil…

Margo dreams of speaking to Osirus, though she can’t remember why or recall what he was saying. His fur seemed wet, but the sky was clear when she turned to look. Marjorie rushes to confront them, but she only finds her own reflection in shallow water–green eyes staring back.

HINDSIGHT
Margo experiences a vision of water, endless as far as the eye could see, though she felt certain somehow that she stood at Lake Ismintis. She walked until a caw broke then silence– a white raven, resting on the broken branch of a dead tree in the expanse. Certain that the dream must mean something, she hurries to inform Lennart… but when all was said, nothing was done. How could they have known what was to come?

THE RAVEN WITH THE BLIND EYE
You are at Lake Ismintis, or at least you think you are. It seems bigger than last you saw, flowing in every direction as far as the eye can see. The water is only ankle deep, and the silence is deafening. You walk, but there is nothing no matter how far you go. You hear a caw, and the flutter wings overhead, then on the branch of a fallen tree it perches: a black raven, with one blind eye.

THE LAKE
You have had this dream - it is a dream, isn’t it? - over and over and over for weeks now. You’re at the Melusine, unsure of why or how you got there, the world around you off-color and hazy. You swim out towards something that glows in the water and seems to call to you; it pulls at your soul. And when you look down, you see five reflections that are not your own.

WHERE'S THE MOON?
It is night, and Seth stands below the stars - noticing suddenly that there is no moon. He wanders in search of it and notices a glowing cavern with three tunnels inside, all of which glow the same. He chooses the rightmost one and follows the light, reaching a cavern so vast that the ends of it cannot be seen, water suspended above with the moon beyond. A ghostly wolf appears to him and utters Aperio, causing the walls to crumble and pull into the space between Seth and the specter to form an archway. He passes through... only to emerge back into the night, as if nothing happened at all.

BOUNDLESS POSSIBILITY
Sutekh's dream is in black and white, silent and dark. He remembers everything blurring af if he's moving quickly—so quickly, in fact, that he had to shut his eyes because his stomach was reeling. Once he opened them again, he realized he was at the Melusine Lake, where the northern pack was guarding it. As the water began to glow, five spectral figures emerged from it, and one wolf—Malaysia—steps forth to meet them. She whispered "Aperio" and the earth began to tremble violently as the specters gave a blinding glow.

SOMNIUM
In Sweepea's dream, she wakes from a fretful sleep in the body of another—the Elder Khepera. She turns to the wolf next to her, one with a dark coat and blue gaze, presumably Tume, who gently encourages her to share the contents of her dream. Khepera describes being drawn into a pale light at the Lake, wading until five reflections appeared beneath her. THE STREAM
You are in a forest, watched over by a hawthorn moon. It feels familiar, though in truth, it could be any forest. There is a stream, the trickle of the water gentle and inviting. You’re about to drink, when you notice on the other side of the brook: an owl is watching you. You catch a scent that turns your stomach: the smell of death. You seem to know this, even if you’ve never seen death before.
Three wolves drink from the stream: Shinha, Aylin, Finn
Shared with: Jorel, Skydas
Your senses clear, and the rotten smell dissipates. Something catches your eye below the water’s surface - one stone is glowing. Curious, you fish it out– it’s an ancient runestone. Before you can register the shape of the engraved mark, you hear splashes; the water is now glowing faint blue, and the surface ripples, as though rain was falling. Chanting floods your ears:

You seek the source of the smell, which only grows stronger and more rancid. The trees thin and open before you; you see the Spire, but not as you remember it. It is crumbling - rocks still falling, crashing upon the ground. It's then you see the body of a wolf. Quite recently dead, but most certainly the source of the stench, as though it has been dead for weeks.
Suddenly, you are standing over the body. Four shadows grow on the ruins, and a voice rumbles bitterly:
What. Have. You. Done.
AWAKE.
You are in a forest, the hawthorn moon overhead. You know you have been here before. You wait a few moments, and the owl appears. It leads you deep into the forest, until the trees give way to a clearing with a hawthorn tree. On either side of the tree, shallow streams trickle. The owl alights on a bough as you step forward cautiously. You are considering your surroundings so closely that you don’t notice the owl is still watching you.
“What is your name?”
The only other living thing here is the owl. You begin to feel uneasy. You hear the voice again, inside your head.
“What is your name?”

The owl blinks slowly. A silence follows, as you watch one another. Then, you hear the voice again.

From the shadows, four figures emerge, shrouded by darkness. Two on either side of the split river. They stop at the water's edge and the earth below your paws trembles.

In unison, the four figures speak. "Aperio. Degero. Fatus. Necto."
The owl takes flight, and the figures dissipate. From its talons drops a stone with a curious marking upon it.
AWAKE.

You back away. As you move, you hear footsteps that are not your own. You are shocked to see a wolf behind you; it is translucent, but you can make out a slim muzzle, and sharp cheekbones framed by long, drooping fur, like the weeping boughs of the willow. You hear voices, though neither the figure nor the owl seem to be speaking.
"Is this the only way?"
"Not the only way. But the best one."
"Can you force - to say it?"
A pause. "I will make them speak." The figure glows brightly, and its voice seems to pulse through your bones: “Fatus.”
You shrink below the figure in fear. Then, the voice behind you, the owl, speaks again.
“What is your name?”
This time, whether you want to or not, you answer.
AWAKE.
You are atop a plateau. Behind you, columns are carved into the mountainside, etched with unfamiliar shapes and symbols. Nearby, there are three large slabs of stone which form something of an altar. Those who might have been here before will recognise this place as Remiel. In front of the altar, sitting with their back to you, is a wolf. Although the rowan moon illuminates the sky, the figure is ashen black, void of light or feature. You are observing the way the moonlight is simply swallowed by the form when it speaks, its voice a guttural rumble.
“I know you are there.” It does not turn to face you.
You remain still. Silent.
“Don’t be afraid,” the voice says. “It is almost time. Come and see."
Two wolves stay where they are: Aylin, Procyon
You remain where you stand, perhaps cautious, perhaps afraid. The shoulders of the figure slump, its head lowering: you get the sense it is disappointed. A peculiar, wistful sadness washes over you.
“This wasn’t... how things…” Its voice is slow and laboured, catching in its throat. “...Were supposed to be.”
The figure slips to one side, hitting the ground roughly and laying still. As it does, the owl swoops over your head, vanishing into the skies beyond. With a laboured breath, you hear the figure murmur. “Nec-to..”
Only then do you notice the blood, a dark stain trickling along the stone. The ground begins to shake below you.
AWAKE.
Eleven wolves approach the figure: Ariadne, Beck, Lethe, Shinha, Evar’la, Randvi, Vashti, Augur, Jorel, Grimm, Eggsy

You approach the figure. It remains still and doesn’t acknowledge you at all, save for its voice, which speaks to you clearly.
“Their name never spoken,” it says as you get closer. “But they have had many. The balance. The source. The heretic.”
You speak, though you are not sure where the words come from - a feeling compels you to respond.
“The Fifth.”
The figure turns to look at you. Its blank pits of eyes bore into you, and you feel your chest tightening.
You notice it then: blood, dripping from the figure’s jaw. You watch, a coldness drifting over you, and you think it smiles. A sad smile.
“It is time.”
All at once, you see the circle of stones surrounding the figure. You peer at the one closest to you, which seems… marked, in some way.
AWAKE.
THE FOREST
You are in a forest, watched over by an oak moon, it feels familiar, though it doesn’t look like a place you know. You walk, unsure of why or where you’re going: until you hear the flap of wings overhead. You watch a raven alight on a branch ahead, cloaked in the shadows. Its call is sharp; you ignore it at first, until the raven swoops past you with another caw. Like it’s trying to get your attention. You’re sure there is recognition in its beady eyes.
It glides deeper into the forest and far from the well-worn path you were wandering. You hesitate– it seems to want you to follow, as it caws again– but a light draws your attention away. Farther along the safe, familiar route, there is a strange blue glow, emanating low to the earth. It seems to hum.

Though the light was tempting, you cannot help but answer the raven’s call. You head into the thicket, following the raven until the branches are so thick overhead that even the last strands of moonlight are blocked out. You almost don’t see it, stopping moments before your paw touches it, holding your foot aloft.
Five stones, arranged in a circle.
The raven flutters down to land upon the earth on the other side. You notice, for the first time, that it has one blind eye. It caws loudly. One stone begins to emit a gentle, warm blue light. You notice the glow has revealed an etching in the rock; an ancient runestone. The raven caws again, but this time, it speaks your language.
"Everything repeats."
You blink, and suddenly the stone circle is surrounded by another, larger circle of five stones. You blink again, and a third circle, even larger. You blink, and blink, and blink, and everytime, another circle swallows the one before, until all you can see as far as the horizon are stones.
Five stones, arranged in ever growing circles.
AWAKE.

The light draws your attention. You move toward it, following as it grows slowly brighter, until you find yourself at the opening of a cavern. You have never seen it before, but it seems indistinguishable from any other cavern. You pause for only a moment before following the light inside.
The cavern extends, and the light seems to be farther away than it was before. The passage seems to extend into an endless corridor. It seems like hours that you are pacing through the darkness, unable to turn back, unable to stop moving forward. Eventually the corridor opens, and you squint your eyes against the sudden bright light. You've entered a large chamber, dimly lit by the blue glow you followed. When you lift your head, you notice something strange above you.
Water. Like the surface of a lake, suspended above you.
As you watch, you see a silhouette, their paws upon the water as though they were walking on the surface. Another figure approaches, this one shrouded in light. You cannot make out the features of either one, from where you are below them, but you hear a voice, clear and powerful:
"Aperio."
AWAKE.
THE OAK CLEARING
You are in a forest, and the oak moon is overhead. You’ve been here before. The raven appears, so you follow it deep into the forest, until the trees give way to a clearing with an oak tree. Strange– the only single oak you know is in the north, and this does not seem to be that same oak. You’re about to enter the clearing when the raven caws a warning. You stop, and the raven juts the point of its beak toward the earth: it is gesturing to a stone. Your gaze wanders, and you count four other stones arranged around the clearing edge…

You realise that you are not alone here. You listen, and you can hear hushed voices; two figures appear, spectral and ghostly. The moonlight seems to go right through them. They are murmuring to one another, and you strain to catch some words.
“Can you open it?”
“You know I can open -”
“- it’s closing it that could be a problem.”
“Leave that to him.”
The raven caws. This time you understand it.
"Open."
You look from the spectres to the raven, trying to understand what this means. As you continue to watch, one of the spectres approaches you. You freeze, a sense of fear washing over you - but it can’t see you. Or if it can, it shows no signs of it. It lifts a paw, and you see a wound on its lower foreleg, one that hardly seems to have begun to heal before the figure is once more opening the scar with its fangs. A drop of blood falls onto the stone in front of you.
“Aperio,” the figure murmurs.
You shield your eyes as there is a blinding flash of light, and you feel a sudden rush of wind speeding past your fur, gone just as soon as it arrived. When you open your eyes, the ghostly figures have vanished, and the stone below your paws has split in two. On the fractured halves, you notice a strange carving...
AWAKE.

You step into the clearing. As you pass the first stone that had laid in front of you, it begins to glow. The raven caws again, still on its perch in the trees, as the glow spreads to the next stone, then the next, continuing until all five are glowing softly.
Chanting floods your ears:
á̴̠̳̓ ̸̡͔̖̓ữ̵̡͛̎ ̴̹̈́ķ̶̧̲̭́́͌ ̷̫̤͋͗͆͒a̶͎͔̾̾̊̚
Ancient words you don’t understand– ë̴̫́͂ ̵͇͔͎̋͘ͅl̷͍̞͍͌͆ ̸̦̳̭̹̇͛̓͋á̷̢̤͎̝ ̷̈́ͅŕ̷̺̝ ̸̛̥̒̌̓ù̶̳̼͜ ̶̣̩͖̺̐͒ḷ̴̓̎͐

The chanting grows to a crescendo, and you try to back away, but you can no longer cross the threshold marked by the circle of stones. You look to the raven in desperation as your head begins to sear in pain, and it stares back with its one seeing eye. It watches you in silence as you sink to the earth, closing your own eyes. Whispers in your ears lead you into darkness:
I tried.
You went too far.
This wasn’t how things were supposed to be.
AWAKE.
THE MARKED ALDERS
You dream of a forest. This one is different – the sun is high, and the distinctive pale grey bark of the alder trees is stark against the light. You look around for the raven, but it is nowhere to be seen. You wander through the trees and the forest seems to stretch on endlessly. After what feels like an age, you notice claw marks on some of them, gouges which reveal the red flesh beneath the bark. You see more marks, like a trail, vanishing into the distance ahead. An acidic scent floods your nose: blood. Perhaps… the violent wound on the bark is not just the flesh of the tree.

You follow the trees. As you wander, the scent of blood grows stronger and stronger. Soon the forest parts, and you find yourself in a field of heather. Ahead is a lone tree, its empty boughs reaching into the sky: and below that is a figure of a wolf, shrouded in darkness.
You soon realise that the scent of blood was leading to them. The figure is bleeding. You creep closer until you too are shaded by the thick trunk.
The wolf doesn’t seem to notice you at all, and as you watch, you see the figure move. It turns, and you see that it is holding a stone in its bloodied jaws. Stones - you remember so many dreams about stones. You look down, and sure enough, there is a circle of them. But you only count four.
This circle is in progress.
The figure lowers the stone carefully toward the earth, its forelegs slipping weakly from below its body as it does so. It slumps into the earth, and the final stone is released, completing the circle. “Deg..er..o..” they whisper. The stones begin to glow, and the earth below you shudders.
You lean forward, and catch just a glimpse - a marking on the final stone of the circle.
AWAKE.
Four wolves search for the raven: Tarot, Lorcan, Elvan, Olimpia

You go in search of the raven. You try to ignore the scarred trees, and stray from the scent of blood, but the smell seems to only get stronger. You come to a clearing and find the raven, but it is not the happy reunion you hoped for.
It is laying on the earth, in the centre of a circle of five stones.
Your blood runs cold, and you draw as close as you dare without crossing the circle boundary. Blood has pooled on the soil, dark as the earth, as though it has been here for some time. Dying. The raven, you realise, is still alive - but just barely. Its half lidded eyes look up at you, one seeing, one empty.
You hear a voice, though there is no-one around to speak.
“Stone holds memory. Memory long forgotten.”
The raven blinks once, then its eyes close slowly, and do not open again.
AWAKE.
THE FINALE
Witnessed by: All wolves visited by The Owl & The Raven

You are dreaming again. This time, there is nothing but darkness: a void of black as far as the eye can see in every direction. By your paws, there are stones. You turn, realising you are encircled by them. Five stones. There is a voice with no tongue, that murmurs in your ear.
"There is power in a name. That is why it was taken."
Slowly, you notice the outlines of five figures, barely visible against the darkness, their eyes the only subtle light by which to see. One by one, they step toward you, and each stand before a stone. As they do so, the voice murmurs again.
"Aperio. Degero. Fatus. Necto."
The fifth shadow steps up to the final stone, and you turn to face them, blinking into the dark. The whisper, again - but this time, the other four shadows' jaws are moving, speaking in unison. "Their true name will bind them. Their true name will find them." Their voices begin to grow louder. "Their true name forgotten. And so we have called them: Karhu, their name never spoken."
Four stones glow. But the Fifth stone does not.
AWAKE.
