So, you've read over our information, and you'd like to join our group!
Svajone is a closed group which periodically hosts opening for new members. We will judge based on the quality of your application (in terms of concept/originality/potential, not artistic skill) as well as taking a look over your activity on DA as a whole. We're really looking for active community members who will be excited to plot, roleplay and engage with the group. Even though our group has a linear over-arching plot line, it's fully intended that the choices and actions of our members will mould and shape the future... so if you would like to join Svajone, you should be adaptable and open to change! Even when it's a little unexpected.
We announce openings a month in advance, via a group journal. We do not plan openings any further in advance than this.
When an opening is announced, draw your character on the relevant app sheet and fill out the application in the description of the deviation. You can upload to your DeviantArt gallery or your stash. Once you're ready, send a join request to the group and include a link to your character application. Once the opening window ends, the staff will review the applications, and accept or deny as necessary.
Don't be discouraged if you are not accepted first time. A fire that burns quickly burns out... we expand our numbers slowly each time so as not to be overwhelming, and to ensure Svajone does not burn out!
If you have been a member previously and have been removed for inactivity twice, unfortunately you cannot rejoin Svajone.
To create a character, you must draw them on the relevant application sheet, and then detail their character information in the description.
You can locate the four application sheets HERE. There is one application sheet per pack.
Follow this format for your application:
Name: Your character's given or chosen name
Age: Pup/Adolescent/Young Adult/Adult/Elder
Gender: The gender your character identifies as. All identities are welcome, but you must specify if your character is designated male or female at birth.
Height and Weight: Refer to the guidelines provided
Territory: Select from Kol, Stonehaven, Skydas, Taika
Moonphase: Refer to the Moonphase guide for details!
Ranking: Your characters rank within the pack
Abilities: These must be purchased, new characters cannot begin with abilities
Personality: A minimum of 200 words that describe your character
History: Tell us about your character's life so far! A minimum of 200 words, though with the island's strange past, more detail is both appreciated and encouraged.
Contact Preference: Some parts of Svajone will consist of interactive RPs or events that require content to be sent to you personally. Please indicate here if you would like to participate in the interactive sections via GoogleDocs (preferred) or via Deviant Art Notes!
Random Events: Indicate if you opt in or out
Remember to make use of the Character Creation Guide while writing your application.
You are welcome to add additional fields or adapt your application to suit your liking, for example personality type, romantic preferences, etc.
All characters must have their written biography inside the artist description of the drawn application.
It is not permitted to have an additional Google Docs biography which contains different or additional information. Google Docs biographies cannot be accurately managed or checked by staff. Information not shown within the artist's description of your character application upload is not considered group canon.
Your character application artwork must be your own. While we value roleplay over art, this is still an art roleplay group. This is the absolute minimum we ask of you.
Very rarely we will make exception per special request; if you only submit literature and your DeviantArt gallery proves that you are singularly a writer and have no possible way to create your own application artwork, you may note the group and request special permission to use application art created by someone else or commissioned specifically for your Svajone application. If you do not receive permission, your application will not be considered.
If you are able to draw and regularly upload illustrations, then you will be expected to complete your own application artwork.
