Skydas is a pack in the east, led by Lennart, and believes in unity between the packs and gaining knowledge about the island happenings. The culture of Skydas is very diverse, with a variety of beliefs and opinions of magic and other packs. The community is peaceful and cooperative, and values working together.
Players (OOC) are expected to be aware of the IC rules and expectations, especially concerning plots that may affect inter-pack relations.
Characters (IC) are expected to be non-violent, cooperate with each other and other packs, and seek knowledge and peace above all else.
Free roaming, birth, mateships, and rank progression are not severely regulated by the alpha in this pack, but players should still be prepared to work with the alpha regarding these plot choices.
This pack has a moderate amount of infrastructure to be aware of when making characters.
Svajone's political climate is ever changing. Below you can view the current pack opinion on the other factions, and any specific instructions pertaining to in character interactions with that faction.
Friendly | Neutral | Tense | Hostile
Stonehaven has threatened their sister clans with violence if they interfere in their war with the Kol. Lennart has instructed all traveling trades to avoid provoking western war parties in the Freelands. Do not engage.
Friendly | Neutral | Tense | Hostile
When Taika was driven from their territory by the flood, Skydas offered them shelter and aid in the aftermath. Although they are once again separated, the Alphas are on friendly terms, and Taikan visitors are welcome in the east.
Friendly | Neutral | Tense | Hostile
Allied and exchanging information. Lennart and Malaysia have each appointed two representatives, and communication is restricted strictly to these representatives and the Alphas. Andorh & Wylla represent Skydas.
Cliffside [VISUAL] [VISUAL] [VISUAL] [VISUAL]
The tallest and most notable of Svajone's cliffs caress the eastern side of the island. Picking through hills and mountains will lead to the cliffs themselves, where wolves can enjoy the fierce ocean winds and look out over the vast horizon... or, occasionally, meet a terrible end.
As Magellan Brook curves towards the ocean, it divides into two forks known as The Twins. One branch marks the edge of Skydas territory and provides the pack a source of freshwater. The area surrounding Twins also is also the most forested in the territory, which is otherwise populated largely by plains, hills, and mountains.
In Spring and Summer, snow melt from the northern mountains causes the Brook and the Twins to swell, often causing localized flooding and making access to the holms (islets) impossible.
A small valley where the mountains part, offering passage toward the cliffs and into the heart of Skydas. In springtime The Fell thrives, blooming with wildflowers and attracting grazing herds.
The Hearth [VISUAL]
Sheltered within Cliffside lies "the Hearth" of Skydas, which is where most wolves make their dens. It covers a large area nestled at the foot of the mountains, facing the coast with the mountains and the ocean acting as natural barriers. The safest path in is through the Fell.
Unlike Stonehaven's Sanctum, the Hearth isn't featured on the map since it isn't mandatory for Skydas wolves to make their dens here. It's only given the name in-character as a general term for where most pack activity takes place!
