Community Support

In order for any of this to happen education needs the support of the community. Furthermore, in exchange for support we are responsible for enhancing the community with thoughtful, insightful, and heartfelt humans who will one day grow up and return the favor.

The project itself cost zero money. We used what we had available to us AND like any educator we did make some runs to the store for specific materials as needed.

In order to bring Steven Smith from NASA to our school we relied on the community. And we want to recognize these individuals.

Donation for Airfare

Steven would not be able to meet the students in person if it wasn't for this family. Their donation covered the airfare expense to bring Steven to Iowa.

A powerful reminder of how incredible people are in the community. This particular family has not children in the district, but understands that education needs more opportunities like this so they are hoping to be one pathway to help make these experiences happen.

An incredible family and the experience for these students will forever be lodged in their minds due to this generous donation.

Donation for Hotel

The Rhythm City Casino Resort provided Steven with his hotel at no charge to help ensure this educational event could happen in hopes that it further builds our community and opportunities to see how we can all work together.

Again, without this generous support I am not sure Steven would have a place to stay.

We are beyond blessed for the support of Rhythm City Casino Resort.

Thank you to the QCESC in community support to provide local educators a chance to see this project in action and to help provide a powerful audience for the students. Additionally, they provided food and refreshement for the Exhibition of Learning.

A great group of people and wonderful organization to volunteer with if interested.
