Ed Nehring, Property Standards Inspector lists previous actions concerning the U2 property (1961-1976)

1961: construction of addition to the press box facilities etc for Dyche Stadium

2. May 8, 1970 NU appeal to use stadium for commercial purposes ( withdrawn on June 16, 1970) and July 1970 Bears court suit vs Evanston and NU (Case #70-CH-3080)

3. March 1, 1971: NU appeals to hold professional football games. Case withdrawn

4. April 20, 1971 Nu appeals to hold pro-tennis matches (ZBA 13-71-A). Case pending before Planning and Development Committee

5. 50 year lease - pending review [ no information on the outcome of the legal dept. inquiry]
