Celebrating Effort and Success: A Year of Sporting Excellence

We welcome a thrilling year of athleticism and camaraderie at Springfield Secondary School. We are excited to share with you our key events that define the spirit of sportsmanship, resilience, and teamwork.

Track Challenge: Sprinting Towards Success

Term 1 ended on a high with the Track Challenge held at Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). It was a day filled with excitement, as our students showcased their speed, agility and determination on the track. This event was more than a race; it was a celebration of perseverance from staff and students. Our Springfield Parent Network (SPN) joined in the celebration and witnessed Springfielders breaking records and pushing their limits.

Cross Country: Where Stamina Meets Scenery

As we celebrated National Day on 7 August, we culminated the celebration by embracing the great outdoors with our Cross Country at Bedok Reservoir Park. As students traverse through scenic routes, they not only test their physical endurance but also connect with nature. Springfielders demonstrated resilience, mental fortitude and appreciation of the nature around us.

Team Challenge: Uniting Strengths, Celebrating Unity

During the year, we organised Team Challenge for every level to showcase their skills and knowledge acquired over the year. This event brings together the essence of teamwork and the thrill of competition. It was not just about winning, it was about understanding the strengths of each team member and valuing the contributions of all. As teams battle it out in various sports, from handball to football, they learn that success is not just about individual talent, but the ability to work together harmoniously.

Singapore Heart Foundation – Heath Health Initiative @ School Programme

In August, we collaborated with the Singapore Heart Foundation to achieve the following objectives:

In alignment with our School Applied Learning Programme (ALP) in Health and Food Science, it was an enriching and fun experience as students got to learn about healthier food choices and lifestyle. Springfielders visited the Heart Health booth during recess to deepen their understanding and by answering quizzes, they got to win prizes. It was a fun day of learning.
