Hari Raya Aidilfitri
Written by Charoenchaipong Punnapong Secondary 1D
The Hari Raya celebration in school was really spectacular. There were many different performances during the celebration and it was very exciting and lively. The crowd was very energetic, and enthusiastic, as they screamed throughout the celebration. The fashion show that was prepared by the teachers and students was really amazing to watch. The costumes worn by the teachers and students during the fashion show were unique and colourful.
The singing and dancing were well executed. The dancing was synchronized and the song suitable for the choreography. The singing felt like I was at a concert. The students did really well and I was very impressed. The Dikir Barat was so synchronized and I have never seen such a performance before. It was nice to see the students sing along and interact with the performers on stage. The Malay dance was lively and catchy. My friends and I were dancing to the music enjoying the special performance.
I felt that I was really lucky to have such an opportunity to watch the performances as my primary school did not have such performances for Hari Raya. I am really grateful as I am sure the performers worked really hard so that we could enjoy the performances. I think that Hari Raya really helps to strengthen the bonds between the different races. I could really see how well bonded they were on stage.
Hari Raya is a really meaningful event that strengthens the bonds between families. Based on what I have heard, Hari Raya is a celebration of victory in completing the fast and overcoming personal struggles during the Ramadan. It is also the time for forgiveness and the strengthening of bonds between families. I really enjoyed the performances prepared and I am looking forward to the performances next year.
