楊啟彬先生

楊啟彬因太平洋戰爭而輟學，到和平後才從新入學，並參加童軍。先後於香港培正、華僑中學及端正學校等就讀及參加童軍。1953年，楊前輩在同濟中學的香港第31旅任童軍領袖，並同時參加黃泥涌羅浮團。1955年參加由韓志海任教的拯溺班，而考試則由另一位童軍人士九龍第17旅的盧錦倫主考。此外還加入聖約翰救傷隊和醫療輔助隊，工餘時間差不多全部用於服務社會。

對比今昔的童軍制服，楊前輩認為過往的制服較「醒目」和形象鮮明，卡其恤衫配黑絨短褲，戴上傳統之「大帽」或軟帽，再加上「銀雞」（警笛）繩、隊色和襪絮等配件，遠遠也可看到，尤其是領袖帽章，很易分別不同職級。楊前輩認為過往童軍見面時向彼此行敬禮是很好的傳統，可惜現今變得較為少見。

1978年，一些黄泥涌區羅浮團團員在北角組織港島第175旅，楊前輩應邀加入旅務委員會。2021年8月23日，楊前輩獲總會頒發長期服務五星獎章。

Mr YEUNG Kai-bun started his Scout Life in 1946 shortly after the Pacific War since his study was suspended. He had joined various Troops as he changed different schools. He became a Scouter in the 31st Hong Kong Troop (Tung Chai) in early 1950s. Later he had also enrolled in Wong Nai Chung District Rovers.

He also joined the Auxiliary Medical Services and St. John Ambulance Brigade while served for decades. He liked the old-fashioned Scout uniform and tradition, such as board-brim Scout hat and Scouts salute to each other when they met.

Mr YEUNG, consultant of the 175th Hong Kong Group was awarded the Long Service Medal with 5 stars on 23 August 2021.
