盧觀榮先生

Mr Kenneth LO Koon-wing

(1932 - 2020)

盧觀榮在和平後從國內返港，就讀於聖保羅書院及參加香港童軍第10旅。他在先進童軍團(今深資童軍團)完成榮譽童軍獎章，並在1953年聖佐治日獲發証書；之後順理成章地晉升羅浮童軍(今樂行童軍)，於同年獲得首張領袖委任證書一香港第10旅的小狼團團長。從此，盧前輩踏上超越一甲子童軍的領袖及委員的任命。

1954年，盧前輩升任第10旅的童子軍團團長，兩年後再出任深資童子軍團團長，可見盧前輩勇於面對不同的挑戰，嘗試在不同崗位服務。盧前輩在1955年參加第六屆童子軍木章(第二部)訓練班，並獲得木章。

盧前輩參加過不少國際活動，包括於1951年前往澳洲參加泛太平洋地區童軍大露營；1960年代在澳洲留學時，先後參加了在澳洲舉行的全國大露營及紐西蘭舉行的泛太洋區大露營。回港後，盧前輩除投入其會計師專業外，也繼續參與童軍運動，在1964年起出任總部總監(活動及訓練)，同年代表香港童軍出席於英國基維爾營地舉行之英聯邦訓練會議。

後來，盧前輩因家庭和事業暫停前線的童軍工作，到8、90年代，盧前輩再度活躍起來，除了出任總會執行委員會主席及副香港總監等不同崗位，更在1993年出任香港總監。及後，盧前輩再度從前線退下來，獲委任為總會副會長，2019年更被邀請出任總會名譽會長。

2017年11月3日因忠誠服務童軍運動65年，盧前輩獲頒發長期服務五星獎章。為誌其事，盧前輩更慷慨捐贈港幣100萬元給總會作發展童軍運動之用。總會為表謝意，特以「盧觀榮展覽廊」命名位於香港童軍百周年紀念大樓20樓的展覧場地。

Upon returning to Hong Kong after the end of World War II, Mr LO Koon-wing studied at St. Paul’s College and joined the 10th Hong Kong Group, where he achieved the Queen’s Scout Badge. He started to serve as a Cubmaster in the 10th Hong Kong Group in 1952 in addition to join the Rover Crew as a Rover Scout. He had participated in the Pan-Pacific Jamborees held in New Zealand and the Australian Jamboree.

Mr LO was the Training Commissioner, Deputy Chief Commissioner, and the Chief Commissioner of the Scout Association of Hong Kong. He also served as a president in various councils. In 2019, Mr LO made a generous donation of $1 million to the Scout Association of Hong Kong to mark his service as a Scouter and Lay Member for 65 years.

Mr LO, Vice President of the Association, was awarded the Long Service Medal with 5 stars on 3 November 2017.
