What is it?
℞apid Resources is a student-led and developed tool for other pharmacy students to access relevant resources related to specific conditions in an effective and timely manner.
How to use the resource
This project has been organized by body system, then further divided by condition. Within each condition, you will find links to corresponding resources, reference study guides and test-your-knowledge quiz questions.
While great effort has been made to ensure the quality of the content, we would gladly review anything that you notice that might be incorrect or outdated.
Sources of information
These materials are intended to supplement learning and are not intended to replace lecture materials or other study resources. Students have amalgamated information from available references, lecture notes, and other available resources. When discrepancies occurred between references and lecture notes, the lecture notes provided in the UBC PharmD program were used.
Olivia Bailey (Pharmacy Student)
Hello there! My name is Olivia Bailey and I am a fourth year PharmD student here at UBC.
My journey with this project began as a directed study, but what started as an academic pursuit has since transformed into an unwavering commitment to its ongoing development. As you may have noticed from the one pagers I provided throughout this project, the concept of condensing information into accessible study guides has always resonated with me as it ensures I always have a repository of useful information in one convenient place. This interest is what initially drew me to this project.
My passion for pharmacy found its roots in my hometown of Castlegar, BC, where I started working as an assistant at the age of 15. Growing up and working in a rural community has deeply influenced my path, and I'm certain that my future lies back home, practicing my career alongside cherished family and friends.
Stay tuned as we continue to progress and develop this project further.

Ingrid Frank (Pharmacy Resident)
Hello there! My name is Ingrid, and I am a 2024 graduate from the E2P PharmD program at UBC. I'm excited to introduce you to ℞apid Resources, a project close to my heart. This was initiated by Jasmin and me (with the support of Jason) after recognizing a major gap in pharmacy education - the lack of a centralized, easy-to-navigate hub for essential pharmacy resources.
As a recent pharmacy student, I vividly recall the challenges of navigating the wealth of resources available in our program, often leading to information overload. ℞apid Resources was born out of a passion for simplifying this process. Our goal is to assist pharmacy students in accessing a curated selection of resources while providing insights into their benefits and limitations.
We are always open to feedback and finding ways to imrpove. If you have any questions, thoughts or suggestions, we'd love to hear from you!

Jasmin Gill (Clinical Pharmacist)
Hello and welcome to ℞apid Resources - your one-stop shop for resources! My name is Jasmin and I'm a pharmacist and recent graduate from the E2P-PharmD program at UBC.
Imagine: your first year of pharmacy school and you have a plethora of resources at your fingertips as you begin to navigate the world of pharmacy. Ingrid and I found ourselves overwhelmed, and challenged ourselves to overcome this by creating summaries and resource documents, as you may see within various chapters of this book. What began as a personal goal has developed and grown into something that will hopefully positively impact our peers.
Now, as a pharmacy resident, I have the privilege to contribute not only the resources provided during my academic career, but also the insights gained through my real-world clinical practice. I anticipate the culmination of resources within this book will resonate with you as much as it does me.
Our journey is ongoing - please do not hesitate to reach out with recommendations for additional resources or inquiries at anytime:

Anna Crossman (Pharmacy Student)
Hello there! My name is Anna Crossman, and I am a second year PharmD student at UBC. I was very fortunate to be given the opportunity to help with this project. After finishing my first year in the E2P program, I understand the struggle of trying to navigate the abundance of resources that are thrown at you. It was a great challenge to figure out how/when to use specific resources, let alone finding them. I am personally someone that likes simplicity. When I am studying for classes, I find myself making algorithms and summary pages that help me condense all the information that is thrown at us. Therefore, when I saw the opportunity to be able to be a part of a team that simplifies our resources into a much more manageable platform, I had to be a part of it. I am hopeful that something that has helped me study along the years will now be helpful to my peers. If you have any questions/recommendations please do not hesitate to reach out.

Sunny Qin (Pharmacy Student)
Hi everyone! My name is Sunny, and I’m a third-year PharmD student at UBC. I’m excited to be part of the ℞apid Resources team, where we aim to streamline access to key pharmacy resources.
With the vast array of information available in pharmacy, my goal is to help simplify and organize it, making it easier for students and professionals to find what they need quickly. I’ve always enjoyed creating summary documents and organizing content in a way that’s practical and easy to use and I believe ℞apid Resources will become an invaluable tool for future pharmacy students.
I look forward to contributing to the development of accessible, well-structured resources that support academic success and professional growth.
If you have any questions or ideas, feel free to reach out—I’m always open to collaboration and feedback!

Jason Min (Faculty Supervisor)
Hello and thanks for checking out ℞apid Resources!
This project is a culmination of many months of thought, energy, and hard work not only by our team, but from collaborators at the UBC Library, the UBC Centre for Teaching, Learning, and Technology (CTLT), and Open UBC. We acknowledge that there has been a long-standing desire for a good repository of resources in the pharmacy program, with many past projects making important contributions towards this goal. As the faculty supervisor on this project, I hope you find this resource helpful and would welcome any thoughts or comments you have to make this a better tool for you in your learning journey.

Territory Acknowledgement
We would first like to acknowledge that this project was developed on UBCs Vancouver Campus which is situated on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the xwməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam) People.
Institutional Support
This project would not have been possible without the support of many individuals and groups. In particular, we would like to express our gratitude to Erin Fields and Leila Malkin, for their tireless efforts and dedication to the development of our version 1 in Pressbook. Thanks to the UBC Open Educational Resources Fund for the funding to continue growing our project, Will Engle for his guidance with the grant application, and Dr. Trish Varao-Sousa from UBC CTLT for her evaluation consultation and support.
We want to acknowledge that the idea of open, consolidated resources is not novel and the many individuals who have done this work before us have not benefitted like we have from the warming environment to open education and the wide availability of technology to support the work. Thanks specifically to Rob Pammett who kindly shared his many years of work in this domain that helped kickstart this project.
Thanks to the many students who acknowledged that this was a significant need and time-consuming effort to make study-notes.
Thanks to the amazing faculty members who have provided students with an enthusiastic depth and breadth of learning on these topics that have inspired students to go the extra-effort to absorb and retain as much of your content as possible, through supplementary resources like this.
