Verse 61:10 tells us, 'O you who believe! Shall I lead you to a bargain that shall save you from painful punishment?'
Painful punishment is that of Hell. The believers' main objective in this transitory worldly life ought to be to do things that could fetch them that salvation.
They have of course to work to earn their livelihoods here! How they earn it is what really matters. This 'how' is being closely monitored by Allah.
In the 3 Verses following the one mentioned above of Chapter 61, He has explained this 'how' and what benefits to derive therefrom.
It is explained there that the 'how' is to have belief in Allah and His Rasool, and to strive hard - during the course itself of earning the livelihoods - to remain steadfastly on Allah's Path even at the cost of the believers' own worldly properties and lives.
Striving steadfastly in Allah’s Path could mean being just, truthful, and honest despite diverse worldly forces trying to compel the believers to be otherwise.
If they (the believers) are so steadfast, they are promised a place in Paradise. That would be the real success for human life on this earth!
Besides, such believers may also get worldly success too.
Belief in Allah and in His Rasool, in practical terms, means belief in what the Qur'aan says!
