Everything that we see, hear or feel is an effect. An effect is a thing that has come into being at some point of time before which it was non-existent. So, there must be something that caused it to happen. What caused it to happen is then the cause!
This cause itself may be an effect of another cause and so on.
But this chain of cause and effect has ultimately to end somewhere.
It must end where the Cause has neither a beginning nor an end.
And that is the Cause we humans variously call Allah, God, Eshwar, etc.
