We have observed that the Qur'aan is distinguished by numerical codes. For example, the Arabic word for month occurs only 12 times in the entire Qur'aan. When it says that Adam is like Jesus, both words, in Arabic, appear 25 times each in the entire Qur'aan. And such codes therein are countless.
I read somewhere that the Arabic words for land and water surfaces of the earth occur in the Qur'aan exactly in the same proportion these exist. So, I started counting. البر (pronounced as albarri) for land occurs 12 times and البحر (pronounced as albahri) for sea occurs 22 times. But what I had heard was that the words occur 13 and 32 times respectively!
I did not find the 13th albarri anywhere in the Qur'aan. As for albahri, it was stated that figure 32 was made up by including also the plurals of the word occurring therein.
However, going by my findings, the land, and the sea surfaces ought to be in the ratio of 6:11. In the sea portion, a considerable area is covered by ice, as at and around the two poles. This ice area should not be included in the sea/water (albahri) portion. It is reported that this ice portion forms about 15% of the sea area. But this is only an estimate! In the winters, in either hemisphere, the ice area may be increasing considerably. As per my findings, the ice portion may be as high as 27% of the sea area.
In that case, as per my findings also, the land surface would be about 29% of the entire surface of the earth, as scientifically determined.
