Verse 61:2, as translated, reads, 'O you who believe! Why do you say what you do not do?'
Too many people are heard, in day-to-day life, saying things which they themselves do not practise! They may be heard, for example, asking others to tell the truth while they themselves resort to falsehood the moment they see any worldly gain therein! In course of time, this becomes a habit with them. Such persons, in fact, resort to another very grave falsehood: their belief in Allah is false!
