Verse 35:5: 'O mankind! Allah's Promise does indeed come true. Let not this worldly life deceive you then! Nor let the deceiver deceive you about Allah!!'
This is a repetition of a part of Verse 31:33. The repetition indicates an emphasis on what is repeated. The emphasis is on Allah's Promise coming true.
And what has Allah promised in the Qur'aan?
The Promise is of everlasting life of peace and joy for a person fearing Allah and treading the Straight Path, in this world, as indicated in the Qur'aan.
But this is not as simple as it looks. The Satan ever tries to mislead us away from the Straight Path, with the shine and glitter of this world. A human being is made to think that this worldly life is the be-all and end-all of existence and so, enjoy it best as you can, by hook or by crook! Most, unfortunately, fall into this Satanic trap.
The Straight Path is dotted with trials and tribulations, which make it appear difficult unless a person's belief in Allah is strong enough to realise that the apparent difficulties are just tests for his eligibility to Paradise.
So, Allah Almighty reassures the believers that His Promise is true!
