Verse 31:33: 'O mankind! Fear your Lord and be afraid of a Day when a father shall not be of any avail to his son. And neither shall a son be of any avail to his father. What Allah promises is true! So, let not the life of this world deceive you! Nor let the deceiver deceive you about Allah!!'
The deceiver is the Satan, but anyone from among mankind could also be the deceiver. There are many atheists among human beings, and they continually influence others to their ways of atheistic thinking.
A Muslim too could qualify for the 'distinction' of being the deceiver if he goes to a dead saint's tomb to seek a worldly benefit.
