Verse 10:23: 'Then, as soon as He saved them, they unjustly rebelled, on the earth! O mankind! Surely, you yourselves must suffer the consequences of your rebellion. You are bound to return to Us after the life you lead in this world. We shall narrate to you then what you used to do!'
In the Verse just preceding the one above, it was described how people, caught in a severe storm while travelling on a ship in the high seas, promised to be grateful to Allah if they were saved.
This Verse here describes what happens if people remain ungrateful after being saved.
And, unfortunately, most people do remain ungrateful after Allah Almighty saves them from difficulties they face!
