Verse 22:73: 'O mankind! An example is given; listen to it: Those, whom you invoke besides Allah, cannot create a fly, even though they combine for the purpose. And if the fly snatches away something from them, they have no power to get that something released from the fly. The seeker and the sought are both weak!'
The seeker is the person seeking something from something other than Allah, and the sought is that thing other than Allah.
The divinely given example highlights the foolishness of worshipping man-created idols. The mazaars created by Muslims, and where they go for redressal of their mundane matters, are clearly covered by the divine example!
