Collybia OS

A long time ago, we had a thought… Give a user friendly audio program to the world that trusted us but also to anyone who wants to have a light and audiophile program.

The first hit was the Archphile by Tuxx, from which we took the foundation to build Collybia OS.

Archphile(discontinued) was an audiophile OS, which combined many packages together and gave the end user a functional, very stable, very lightweight and excellent sounding program.

But it lacked the aesthetic and user-friendly environment.

So here comes the “sun”

A client called myMPD from JCorporation which he constantly update it with new goodies…:)

So all we did was combine all the above. We did a little bit of coding just to give it a “tone” of user-friendliness and give it to you all.

After all we’re talking about Open Source programs and it’s something we believe in it very much at Collybia.

So enjoy it and we promise we will keep update it.

RaspenWRT

Raspenwrt is a port of OpenWRT for the Raspberry Pi. OpenWrt is a highly extensible GNU/Linux distribution for embedded devices (typically wireless routers). Unlike many other distributions, OpenWrt is built from the ground up to be a fully featured, easily modifiable operating system. In practice, this means that it can have all the features of a router firmware, powered by a Linux kernel. OpenWrt mainly uses a command line interface, but also has a WEB interface.

It has implemented features that many other manufacturers of commercial devices do not have, such as QoS, VPN and other features that make OpenWrt a truly powerful and versatile network device, not only for use as routers, but also as: file servers , P2P nodes, WEBcams servers, firewall or VPN access doors.

ThalOS

ThalOS, es un sistema operativo completo basado en la distribución Raspbian hardfp, para la plataforma Raspberry Pi. El objetivo de ThalOS es ser un sistema extremadamente pequeño y seguro para el uso de Raspberry Pi como un router/firewall. Todo el sistema ocupa sobre 500 MB y es básicamente una instalación raspbian debootstrapped con: configuraciones especiales de raspbian, alguna configuración personalizada y un kernel modificado.

ThalOS es seguro gracias a las siguientes medidas:

• El kernel no tiene capacidad para cargar módulos. Esto es para evitar la inyección de código en el núcleo, por un atacante en el caso de que el sistema haya sido comprometido. Todos los accesos a la /dev/mem* han sido desactivado, junto con el apoyo de perfiles del núcleo. Para asegurarse de que incluso, si el sistema se ve comprometido, por lo menos el núcleo permanecerá seguro y impedirá brechas de seguridad como la adición de rootkits.

• Thalos aprovecha las nuevas características de protección de pila en Linux 3.15, LXC es completamente compatible para permitir el aislamiento de los procesos y sistemas de archivos VFAT que se ha eliminado. La razón para eliminar el soporte para el sistema de archivos VFAT es no permitir el montaje de la partición /boot (que es de tipo VFAT). Esto impide que alguien de sobrescribir la imagen del núcleo, mientras que el sistema está funcionando.

• Todos los archivos y directorios tienen deshabilitado su SUID/SGID. Esto puede parecer una controversia, pero en un sistema que sólo se utilizará como un router/firewall no hay necesidad de que estos bits estén presentes. Como tal, se quita otro pequeño potencial de vector de ataque.

ThalOS a complete operating system based on the hardfp Raspbian for the Raspberry Pi platform. The goal of ThalOS is to be an extremely small and secure system for use of the Raspberry Pi as a router/firewall. The entire system is around 500 MB and is basically a debootstrapped raspbian installation with some special configurations from raspbian, some tweaked setup and a custom kernel 

• Login as root with password: raspberry

• You can login via Console

• or login via SSH: 192.168.1.254

• When you login, a "finalizing setup script" will be executed. Run through the final setup (make sure you exapand the filesystem at the end)

• Configure your network by editing /etc/network/interfaces

• Make sure your system is up to date by running: apt-get update && apt-get upgrade

• Congratulations! You can now start configuring your router/firewall

Slimbian

Slimbian is slim and minimalist version of Official Raspbian targeted for full running of light server or embedded application in Raspberry Pi. Excluding many X11 library will make the installation become lite with smaller memory footprint in running. slimbian is not trimmed version of Raspbian, it's really a made of custom install of Raspbian minus GUI/X11 library.

How to install into sdcard:
