A transformation changes the position, size, or direction of a shape.
There are four main types:
Translation (slide)
Rotation (turn)
Reflection (flip)
Dilation (resize)
Transform = Change. Shapes move, turn, flip, or stretch — but stay the same shape.
If you slide a triangle to the right — that’s a translation.
If you turn it — that’s a rotation.
