Fractions and decimals are two ways to show the same idea: parts of a whole.
Fractions can become decimals when we divide the numerator by the denominator.
One-half = 0.5 (because 1 ÷ 2 = 0.5)
Three-fourths = 0.75
Divide: 3 ÷ 4 = 0.75
You’ll see fractions in baking and measurement, and decimals in money and data.
You must know both — and how to move between them.
