🧠 Tip: A dollar = 100 cents
Start with the biggest value first, then add smaller coins.
🔹 Example 1:
1 Quarter (25¢) + 1 Dime (10¢) + 1 Nickel (5¢) =
👉 25 + 10 + 5 = 40 cents
🔹 Example 2:
2 Dimes + 3 Pennies =
👉 10 + 10 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 23 cents
✅ Use skip counting to help:
Count quarters by 25s
Dimes by 10s
Nickels by 5s
Pennies by 1s
You want to buy a toy that costs 30¢
You have: 1 quarter (25¢) and 1 nickel (5¢)
