🔹 What Is Place Value?

Place value tells us what a digit is worth based on its position in a number.

As we move left, the value of a digit becomes ten times bigger.

The place decides the value.
Digit × Place = Total value.

🔹 Example

In the number 3,274,

• The 3 is in the thousands place → it means three thousand
