Probability is the chance that something will happen.
It’s measured on a scale from zero to one:
Zero means it’s impossible.
One means it’s certain.
It can also be shown as a fraction, decimal, or percent.
Probability = What you want ÷ All possible outcomes
What is the probability of rolling a 3 on a six-sided die?
Only one side shows 3.
So the probability is:
One over six
Or about 0.17 or 17 percent
Probability helps us predict outcomes, whether in games, weather, science, or real-life decisions.
