Ship of Ra
Magical boat of Ra that can fly at 48” (15 mph), has 200 structural points and repairs itself at a rate of 1 structural point per turn. Note that the ship will not sink even if hulled, but it will take on water if holed beneath the waterline while afloat. It needs no crew to fly or sail, as it responds to the will of whoever stands at the wheel. If the wheel is not held by a sentient creature that is thinking about direction and speed, the ship will coast to a stop in one round after traveling in a straight line for that long in whatever direction it was going. Note that this simplicity of control does not guarantee safety, as a strong wind or wave could still topple the ship. A skilled helmsman should have at least one point in sailing, preferably more, to control it at sea, and similarly in flying if in the air. Maintenance costs for this ship are zero, as it will repair all wear and tear, damage from wind and water, attack, or whatever, provided it is not brought to zero structural points or below (at which point it is destroyed). The ship can carry up to 25 people in comfort, 50 with some crowding. Up to 100 people could be carried packed to the railings, but this leaves no room for provisions, and makes the ship very hard to steer and sluggish in acceleration and deceleration. It is 95’ long and 24’ wide amidships. In any case, the ship can only add 5” of speed per round to its rate of movement, and decelerates at the same rate.
