Nimlaure Aglarion was the hereditary king of Attellaria. He ruled from the capital city of Aertael. He was born on January 1, 1100. Rumors were heard in recent years that he would abdicate, but this did not come to pass. He was always accompanied by a leather-clad figure, reputedly a very powerful psionic assassin bodyguard, reputedly named Ceionia Demetrias, level unknown. His family has ruled the country, more or less, since the founding.
He died in late 1166, in the battle under the sea. There is a monument to him in the city cemetery, a statue of him in his youth, that stands on top of the marble block tomb of his wife. The statue is reputed to be some sort of powerful golem, with a magic-draining aura. This may be to prevent any further desecration of of the royal remains, as happened to his wife's body in 1166. Here is what the statue looks like.
In his youth, he was a fighter, and apparently made it to level twelve or so before he settled down. His wife was Esrella Trask; she was born July 14, 1102, and died in 1128, giving birth to Restael. He never remarried, as he has five children, and no interest in dynastic connections. He is known to be Lawful Good. It is rumored that he once owned Coinspinner. It is fairly well known that he has the Scepter of Lawful Good, and would reward anyone who brought him the Orb or Crown of Lawful Good.
His children are:
Faithra Thaos, daughter, born February 1122, Duchess and now queen princess, married to Astar Trask (second son of the old Baron Trask). The was married in 1140, has four children, all daughters; they were born in 1141 (Jennifer), 1143 (Jaqueline), 1144 (Jennalynne) and 1148 (Jirel). Baron Ilien of Brindel is her only direct subject. (It is well known that she married her uncle; this is not much of a scandal, as noble families often intermarry.) Jennalynne was kidnaped by Stafarin, and later recovered during an attack on various Tiamat allies in early 1165. Since that time, all of the royal children of the line have been given strong magical and mundane protections.
Sestare, Marquise of Elnaria (the southern half of Attellaria), born June 1123, married to Hassor, a barbarian prince of Tharn in 1143. Two children, a son born in 1144 and a daughter born in 1148. Sestare's subjects include the Baronet Tim of Luingrouth, Lord Ivan of Ivan's Keep; Jiaghu was ruled for a time but the site is uninhabited now.
Duchess Lisse, born December 1124, married Baron Trask of Trask, 1145; two children, both sons, born 1147 and 1148. Ruler of the eastern area of Attellaria. Subjects include Baron Brack of Kir-Har, Lord Bloodroot of Bloodroot's Keep, and Lady Liswin of Rosewall. (Like her older sister, she married an uncle.) While technically the Barony of Trask lies within her rule, the fact that Baron Trask is the crown princess's husband means that Trask is ruled by Faithra, and will stay that way after she ascends the throne.
Ithrindil Saraxin, born July 1126, single as yet; ruler of the northern forest area. His is a duke. Subjects include viscount Merciale of Belegram, Baron Finarfin of Finarfin Baron Koln of Vindale, Lord Airlaen of Lord's Castle, and Viscount Greog of Port.
Marquis Restael of the western coast, born February 1128, as yet unmarried. He rules almost the entire western coast. Subjects include Marquis Grendon of Grendon, Viscount Atavar of Caepal, and Baron Artel of Artel. Restael is apparently a bit of a wastrel, which may be why his father has not seen fit to award him a Duke's title, like all the rest of his siblings.
