Alterein (NPC)

Alterein is a very high level human magic user who was part of the Finarfin adventuring group, which mentored some of the original members of the player group. He has been able to cast Wish for many years, and it is generally suspected that he is in the level 20-25 range now. At one point, he traveled to the future in order to prevent a major problem he had forseen; when he returned, his body was destroyed by the effects of time travel, and he now is in the body of a much younger man. He has let the story of what happened to him out to the public, perhaps as a warning against anyone else attempting such a thing.

He reputedly has a powerful magical mirror, with which he can see virtually anything he wants, and interact with those these he sees. These viewings sometimes come at a stiff price.
