RS-8871 Testing Regulations

Welcome to the RS-8871 Testing Regulations Page. This page goes over Testing Restrictions, Regulations, and general information in regards to Site-Alpha’s Fresh crawler. This Testing Regulations Page also aims to educate you on RS-8871 in itself, and further provide information about it. 

• RS-8871 is restricted to Researcher+;

• RS-8871 events require Senior Researcher+ authorization;

• RS-8871 events require a mandatory Crimson-9 escort;

  • These escorts are required for overall security of the testing group and have authority over the entire event to their judgement;

• Spectators must uphold a clearance of SC-2+, spectator limit is lowered to 3 people, excluding the host;

• Shooting in the cave system should be kept to a minimum

  • It will lure RS-8871 to your location, yet to a tactical position for ambush where it awaits until the group proceeds to attack them;

• An Actor Organizer+ is required to act as RS-8871;

• When dealing with RS-8871, a pepper spray is preferred to be equipped, to be utilized in self-defense. The pepper spray may be bought from the vendor;

• Every RS-8871 related event is to be scheduled at least 1 hour ahead in the #event_schedule channel.

Like all Research-Subjects, RS-8871 does not have a containment chamber, but rather a unique domain in which it remains. This domain would be the whole cave system. It is, mostly, seen staying above Phi, and grabbing any unfortunate personnel who cannot protect themselves. However, his constant presence does not warrant Red Heron, and only Yellow Ember will be turned on for events alike. 

In regards to testing procedures, aside from formalities, like getting a rationale and the necessary personnel, multiple precautions must be taken in order to avoid incidents.

• A drone will be required to locate RS-8871 within the caves. It is important to note how Jeffery may be aggressive towards these drones.

• The Class-Ds must be briefed outside of the cave system, to avoid unexpected attacks. 

• A way to defend against RS-8871, is preferred. (eg. Flashlights, pepper spray, etc.)

• The Crimson-9 present is required to have a flamethrower equipped, to protect your test from an incoming attack.

• Tests with high risk may utilize SCP-1048-F as a guaranteed way to defend against RS-8871. This goes without saying, but Magma should be rewarded afterwards. 

• Move within the caves alongside your Crimson-9 escort, and coordinate moves with them, to be safe within the caves.

• Preferably, luring him within an open space within the caves would be the best course of action, through the usage of firearms.

• When RS-8871 is roaming within tunnels, it is advised to remain in areas where he is unable to grab you, preferably an inside area.

• When he is sighted, authorization for the usage of Pepper Spray, and Flashlight, from the vendor, are authorized, to be bought and utilized efficiently from the vendor.

• If he grabs you, he will immediately drop you off the moment you utilize those on him.

• In this an exigent situation, Crimson-9 operatives that are present should handle the situation appropriately.
