Introduction
Welcome to the SCP-457 Testing Regulations Page. This page will provide you with testing restrictions and regulations for testing with SCP-457. It will also include some tips and a guide on what to do during an emergency situation. Along with those, you will also understand the SCP-457’s testing chamber and its unique containment procedures.
SCP-457 is restricted to Researcher+;
SCP-457 events require Adept Researcher+ authorization;
SCP-457 events require a mandatory Crimson-9 escort;
These escorts are required for overall supervision and have authority over the entire event to their judgement;
Spectators must uphold a clearance of SC-2+
SCP-457 tests requiring SCP-457 to be fueled up should use flamethrowers, and no Class-D.
For tests, the first thing you want to do is the usual procedure. Get a rationale, get your Escort, Actor(s), Class-D(s) and everything required for the test.
[Tip #1, if your rationale requires SCP-457 to speak, bring 3 extra Class-Ds to get it to Stage 2]. Once you are at SCP-457’s containment, you would send your CDs to the left of the entrance,
down the staircase [Image #1]. Then, you can head to the catwalks and go down the ladder to brief your Class-Ds. You can STS them anywhere you wish, but the most common spot you can use is in front of the gate [Image #2]. Once they are all lined up, you may start your brief. After you are done, head back up to the viewing room. [Tip #2, this is not a requirement, but if you want to decrease chances of an emergency situation, you can arm your escort with Fire Extinguishers]. When you are ready, tell the Crimson-9 operative to let the Class-Ds in. They will control the airlock and let them in. After that you can observe the test results at the viewing room.
Once you are ready to conclude the test, attempt to set 457 back to stage 0 using sprinklers. If it doesn't work, you can leave the chamber, as it will eventually run out of fuel.
For most of the details, refer to Testing Restrictions, since interviews and tests are rather similar. There are some things to mention though. The tip with 3 extra Class-Ds is now a requirement to make sure SCP-457 is able to talk, otherwise there is no interview to begin
with. Send the batch of 3 Class-Ds first and wait for SCP-457 to get to Stage-2. SCP-457 is very uncooperative, and will only work with you for a reward. This is why you have to bring some more Class-Ds, depending on the amount of questions you are asking. As an example, for 3 questions, you can offer it 2 Class-Ds [Image #3]. [Tip #3, the higher the stage, the smarter is SCP-457, useful to achieve better answers].
Once you’ve asked your questions, do the same conclusion process as in the testing procedures.
The feeding procedures are the exact same as testing ones, except there is no rationale. One thing to note though, SCP-457 feedings must be done with a minimum of 5 Class-Ds and a maximum of 15.
1. SCP-457 entering the airlock.
This one is pretty easy to deal with, since Crimson-9 will instantly activate the airlock sprinklers.
2. SCP-457 splitting in two.
If SCP-457 gets to Stage-5, it can split in 2 if there are 2 actors on. If it ever happens to your test or if you require that to happen, it's not a big problem. You can just conclude the test and leave them in the chamber. They will merge into one after some time.
3. SCP-457 breaching.
If SCP-457 breaches during your test, you are to vacate Site Epsilon immediately. Do not panic and most importantly do not announce it on the radio. It's an official breach once SCP-457 has made it out of Epsilon, which can be prevented by Crimson-9. Head to Site Phi and wait for Red Heron if it really does breach. [Keep in mind if the breach happened due to you failing to follow the procedures, you will be punished].
