Introduction
Welcome to the Testing Regulations page of SCP-049. Through this page you will be provided with the general characteristics, containment procedures, testing restrictions, testing/interview procedures, emergency procedures, and specific free-roam terms that come along with SCP-049.
That said, everything within this page should be followed in any test, or event involving SCP-049. Failure to follow the rules and guidelines within the SCP-049 Testing Regulations will be met with the proper line of punishment.
Testing Restrictions require the following from SCD in order to host this test:
SCP-049 tests are restricted to Junior Researcher+;
SCP-049 tests are Specialized Unit Replaceable;
SCP-049 events require 1 Actor from the Joint Departmental Server
SCP-049 can be re-contained in a variety of different ways such as:
Being calmed by other anomalies that SCP-049 is friendly with, an example of an anomaly that can calm SCP-049 is SCP-082.
According to research the scent of lavender and leaving the anomaly alone can also help pacify him.
Persuasion through making a deal with SCP-049.
Attempting to pacify him through means of effective communication.
SCP-049 can re-contain themselves.
SCP-049 is able to be interviewed/tested in a variety of different ways such as:
When the anomaly is roaming ask it if it would be possible to conduct an interview with it. Tip : An example of this would be : “Hello, Doctor how are you today? Would I be able to conduct an interview with you? I have a couple of questions.” This would generally be a good way to ask SCP-049 for an interview.
When it comes to being a spectator of a test, SCP-049 is busy with other individuals. It’s best to wait until the other people are done to ask if they would be available to have an interview. Tip : An example of a way to ask in a situation like this is “Excuse me, Doctor. I know that you’re busy with other people, but I would like to know if you would be available for an interview?”. This would be the best way to go about conducting this.
In the event of asking SCP-049 to help with a test. It's best to phrase it in a way, where you would be asking the “Doctor” to help you with some research. As the doctor always wants to help SCD with any research, which they would like to conduct. Tip : When asking for a test go about it like this “Hello Doctor, I would like to know if you could help me out with some research that I am conducting?”. If they ask what it is about it’s best to tell them. If its an anomaly that doesn’t mix with SCP-049, where the safety of the anomaly would be put at jeopardy. (If you get approval) Then it’s best to tell them of the other anomaly that they could be interacting with. These consist of:
SCP-173
SCP-106
RS-0666
RS-8871
SCP-610
When attempting to test on an Actor that a SCD had asked to come on-site through the joint departmental server. It is best to still ask the Actor if it is possible to conduct research or conduct an interview. Any Researcher+ should be able to use the command Check [scp-(number)] [reason] on the Tablet. This is to only be done for a good reason and should not be abused.
This section will contain a list of different scenarios that can happen with SCP-049 and what you should do if this anomaly exhibits these behaviors :
When SCP-049 gets agitated in the test that a SCD is currently performing and gets to the point where it is uncontrollable and is curing everyone.
Get away from SCP-049 and go far enough to where it is safe.
Use the radio to contact other combative members and inform them of the situation.
Once a Red-Heron is called or Yellow-Ember follow any orders of combatives.
Remain with the combatives and follow their orders.
When a group of rogue CD raid the test these are the following actions a SCD should do :
Follow the orders of the combatives that are escorting the test/interview
When SCP-049 is agitated, stay away from the anomaly.
Depending on the situation if it gets to the point where the test has to be canceled. Perform the test at another time.
Slightly agitated and able to be calmed down
Refer to the containment section within this handbook for things that are able to pacify/calm SCP-049.
SCP-049 is on the verge of becoming angry from any actions a SCD has done :
Deescalate the situation and try to make the situation better than it already is.
If it is intentional, record evidence and send it to any command member.
SCP-049 is contained within the Moderate Containment Zone in an lab.
The Observation room is separated by a glass, which can view SCP-049s' lab.
There is a operating table and numerous different instruments that the doctor uses to conduct tests.
