Introduction
Welcome to the testing handbook of SCP-610. Here you will be provided with the regulations of testing procedures with both SCP-610-1 and SCP-610-2, as well as with the restrictions that come along with it. Due to SCP-610-1 being extremely dangerous and on par with SCP-682s destructive power, additional safety precautions have to be abided by when testing/interviewing it. With that being said, any event that is to be commenced with SCP-610 should abide by the restrictions placed onto this handbook. If not abided by properly, serious disciplinary action may occur.
SCP-610 is kept secure in the Heavy Containment Zone. The core of the anomaly resides within an infected mountain of rocks and stones, which has been hollowed out and covered with SCP-610 both on the in- and outside. The formation is stabilized on the outside by beams and pillars made out of steel and attempts were made to further contain the spread of SCP-610, but were abandoned after they showed no effect. Both the stabilizing structure and the temporary containment structures are abandoned and rusting.
The inner containment chamber features a large circular area around the mountain, where both test subjects and SCP-610-2 instances have enough space to roam. A delivery door for cross tested anomalies is featured in a wall, elevated from the ground to prevent breaches during delivery. At the top of the construction, a total of 8 ventilation pipes open up onto the mountain. These dispense nitrogen gas to keep the inner core of the SCP-610 hive cooled and mostly dormant. The area, from which Class-Ds and combatives enter the inner containment chamber, is a gigantic airlock, which also poses as a singular connection between the outer and inner containment chamber.
A smaller airlock leads into the main one, to allow for combative entry without the need to open the heavy gates of the main airlock.
In contrast to the size of the airlock and chamber, the observation area, from which tests and interviews with SCP-610 are conducted, is small and functions as a chamber control room. It resides over the gate which connects the airlock and the inner containment chamber. Both areas can be viewed from the control room, as it has windows that point towards the chamber and the airlock, to grant absolute supervision.
Testing Restrictions are in place to ensure the safety of the event, and all personnel involved. All restrictions must be followed,
Events involving SCP-610-1 require the rank of Researcher+;
Are in need of prior Senior Researcher+ authorization;
Require Crimson-9 Sergeant+ approval:
Must be acted out by Actor Organizer+;
Need a minimum of 3 Class-D, with a maximum of 10;
Require Security Class-2+ in order to spectate;
Have a mandatory 8-spectator limit;
Need 2 Crimson-9 escorts;
Must have an SD Officer+ present to help schedule the event
SCP-610-2 requires the rank of Researcher+;
Are in need of prior Adept Researcher+ authorization;
Require Security Class-2+ in order to spectate;
Need 1 Crimson-9 escort and additionally 1 MTF unit;
Requires Anomaly Actor+;
Do NOT count as separate SCPs used for a test, should they spawn unprompted and as a result of SCP-610-1 appearing
For tests involving SCP-610 and its instances, the host of the test is required to brief their Class-Ds on the parking lot to the left of the main airlock gate. After this, testers need to keep in mind that they will not get another chance to communicate with their Class-Ds. No vehicles may be brought into the inner containment chamber of SCP-610 except for crucial testing reasons. This has to be approved off by an Adept Researcher+ separately to the initial test approval.
DUE TO THE SIZE OF THE CONTAINMENT CHAMBER, IT IS STRONGLY SUGGESTED TO UTILIZE CAMERAS TO KEEP TRACK OF THE TEST.
In the control room, both the host and the spectator(s) may NEVER touch any controls.
Doing so will lead to severe punishment. Only one door may be opened in the main airlock at a time. This includes the fire door. The secondary airlock may only be utilized by combative once the event started.
EXCEPTION:
Should briefing the Class-Ds on the parking lot pose a security risk, either due to rioting CDs or general safety concerns, the host may go into the main airlock and brief the Class-Ds there in private, so without spectators present. This requires combative permission, so one must request to brief the Class-Ds in there first. After the Class-Ds and the host are in the main airlock, both gates are to be closed and remain shut. The host and the supervising combative escorts will exit the airlock through the secondary one, once the brief has been finished.
SUBSECTION - BRIEFINGS:
Every brief for the Class-Ds of a test at the chamber of SCP-610 needs to contain the following sections;
“Listen up. This test will involve SCP-610, a dangerous and violent SCP.”
“As such, you will need to abide by the following:”
“Do not attempt to hide from any SCP-610 instances, unless ordered to do so.”
“Do not intentionally run/hide into areas from which the test can’t be observed, especially not if you have a camera attached to your body.”
“Try to stay outside of the mountain, except when ordered to go inside specifically.”
“Try to stay in front of the mountain during the event, for better observability.”
Should SCP-610-1 or SCP-610-2 be aggravated as a result of tests/interviews/feedings, all personnel have to abide by the instructions of MTF without fail. They will exit the observation area as ordered and make their way out of Site Epsilon if deemed viable by MTF units.
During tests, fire may be used to keep SCP-610 contained. This may only be used as a method on SCP-610-2 instances, never on SCP-610-1, except when MTF deems it appropriate. Tests or interviews that have the intention to agitate SCP-610 in order to observe their reaction under anger/pressure are NOT permitted.
Should a hivemind (SCP-610-1) spawn during a test on SCP-610-2, the test is to be canceled and everyone is to leave Site Epsilon without announcing anything on the radio.
When delivering SCPs via the A.E.T.V system, a few regulations need to be kept in mind to ensure both solid and efficient test results, as well as general site safety:
When a container is being heaved into the delivery corridor, a member of the security department needs to be stationed at the outside gate of the delivery corridor for the duration of the shipment process. This way, any escaping threats can quickly be seen and responded to. This is also to prevent rogue personnel from climbing on a container and intruding into the inner CC of SCP-610.
Furthermore, Class-Ds may ONLY enter the inner containment chamber, once the delivery of SCPs is fully conducted. Never should any Class-D be able to enter the inner chamber when the inner delivery door is open.
To schedule an event with SCP-610 it must be scheduled beforehand, to schedule you will make an SCP-610 request in the Joint Department Discord Server in the #hcz_schedule channel. When making a request for SCP-610 make sure you do the following;
Check the last few requests and make sure the time wanted does not violate the cooldown,
When linking the time of your event, it is suggested you use Discord’s time stamp, you can get one here,
Make sure to ping @AA Command, @Crimson-9
Make sure to create a thread for your request.
When the time of your event is closely approaching, you should double-check to make sure everyone, including your actor, can still attend.
In the event a Researcher+ wishes to do an observation on SCP-610, they can bypass the scheduling, and request for an SCP-610 actor in the #hcz_schedule channel. If an Actor Organizer+ is online and makes the request, as well as a Crimson-9 escort, you can conduct the observation.
Any feeding event involving SCP-610 will be required to have the minimum amount of Class-Ds of 5, and the maximum amount of Class-Ds of 15. SCP-610's feeding procedure will stay the same as the combative authority will transfer the Class-Ds to the airlock, and the host of the feeding event with its spectator will be moved to the Viewing Area.
You are to follow the same process to schedule feedings.
If an event involving SCP-610 unintentionally provokes, angers, or causes SCP-610 to likely breach its containment, all personnel will be required to follow all orders that will be given by Combative Authority, especially the Mobile Task Force, and all personnel will also be required to evacuate to the nearest safe area as per procedures in-case any emergencies related to SCP-682 happened.
The Research Specialist [or host] has the top priority of control, if spectators are getting in your way, or are disobeying your orders, you may have them removed or terminated.
Here you may view the specific regulations in terms of control over SCP-610 events:
Combative Personnel may talk over your tests at any given time;
Class D’s are to be zip tied for the general amount of this test. Any misbehavior or attempting breaches of the anomaly should result in the Class-D’s termination;
If spectators or combative are blocking your view, you may move them;
Spectators may be removed under the authority of MTF and SD combative present. MTF will have generalized authority over SD and share the same authority as you over spectators and Class-D; however, they have the means of authority and supervision over you and your test;
Suspicious activity from Class D’s, or attempted rogue from spectators may be reported and the personnel may be removed;
