A very interesting meeting about artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, programming, modern models of a business plan, innovative ways of promotion - activity carried out in the third mobility of the project, hosted by 'Costache Negruzzi' National College was offered by AGILEROO and its founder Diana Lefter.
Diana Lefter has 20 years of experience in the IT industry in Canada and Europe in various roles, from testing to coding to management. She is passionate about education and was a maths teacher before starting writing code and building a career in IT. She developed a method called “teaching by fascination”, which consists of 2 main ingredients: to love what you teach and to love the kids and teens you are teaching. And, of course, to be a very good professional in your field.
This company AGILEROO teaches kids and teens how to write code, develop an entrepreneurial mindset and be ultimately creative, using the power of Artificial Intelligence in education.
They are a Romanian-Canadian coding and entrepreneurship school, built by specialists with 20 years of experience in Information Technology and Education and offer unique courses which help kids and teens discover what they are passionate about.
This company trains young people and adults in coding. During the meeting, Diana Lefter told how to start our own business and how to create a business plan model. She introduced to AGILEROO company's main training courses.
Their courses are designed to help kids and teens remain relevant in a world where artificial intelligence will change the way we learn, work and live. Regardless of their profession, they will need to have 3 essential skills: coding skills, creativity and an entrepreneurial mindset. After finishing school, the kids remain active in #agileroo community, where they continue to learn and work together on various projects. They offer different programs for kids and teens:
Programming and Entrepreneurship for Kids- they are offering a unique program for kids (10-13 years) – “Digital Kids”. This program combines digital, entrepreneurial and programming skills. These skills are what our teenagers and kids need in order to learn how to think out of the box, collaborate and express their ideas with confidence. After this program, they will be ready to study abroad and/or start their journey as entrepreneurs. Classes take place at Colegiul “Costache Negruzzi” .
Python for Kids and Python for Teens- Python is the most versatile programming language used for creating applications for DataScience, Machine Learning and AI. We combine Python programming with entrepreneurial and digital skills. These skills are what our teenagers and kids need in order to learn how to think out of the box, collaborate and express their ideas with confidence.
Game Design for Kids and -Game Design for Teens- using G5Develop, they teach kids how to create games. This will help them start a self discovery journey and start learning many other things, while improving your creativity and logic. Using GDevelop (a game engine based on JavaScript), you will learn how to combine art, animation, sound in order to create projects, it is not just about coding, but about improving essential life skills.
Robotics for Kids- they teach kids how to design and program robots, using Arduino, Mindstorm and Edison. This will help them start a self discovery journey and start learning many other things, slowly moving from consumers to creators of new technologies.
Introduction in Artificial Intelligence- to get know how artificial intelligence will affect person's job and life, to understand what artificial intelligence is and how it is created, to understand how it will evolve in the coming years and how it will affect all people, etc.
Programming and entrepreneurship for teens - program for teenagers (14 – 18 years), which will combine digital, entrepreneurial and programming skills that teenagers and kids need in order to learn how to think out of the box, collaborate and express their ideas with confidence. After this program, they will be ready to study abroad and/or start their journey as entrepreneurs.
After the meeting, students created a business plan in international groups, each group created a company in a certain country and in a certain industry
