On the way back to Staicele the project participants had a chance to stop and enjoy wonderful sights at Vetszemyu rocks- tourist attraction place at the seaside.
The Latvian seaside is generally associated with a warm sandy beach, sunbathers dozing in languor, and captivating sunsets.
However, the seaside has much more beauty to share .
Wonderful vacation place, one of holiday destinations at the seaside is Vetszemju rocks.
The rocks are located at the marine bay north of Rankulraga 600 meters south of Vetszemes in the parish of Salacgriva of the Salacgriva district on the Vidzeme seaside.
Veczemju Rocks are the most impressive and most beautiful sandstone cliffs on the Vidzeme coast. The waves have formed a steep bank up to 6 m high, where red sandstone rocks with shallow abrasive caves, niches, groves and other formations are exposed for hundreds of meters. The rocks come in a wide range of colors, from light to dark red.
