Activities carried out during the meeting:
Students were introduced to the restoration of an ancient and well-functioning farmhouse.
Students got to know forestry as an industry by visiting an Estonian State Forest centre.
Students got to know the fishing industry by visiting a fishing farm in the area.
A comparison of different tourism strategies to become aware of the importance of the European tourism industry was made.
Different meetings with local entrepreneurs were held, so the students could become aware and discuss the problems and difficulties they have when employing young workers.
Oral presentations on the importance of nature were prepared.
Touristic adverts about Estonia were created.
Methodology:
Students worked in international groups, previously arranged by the teachers.
An interactive, active and communicative methodology was applied.
IT was present during the activities.
Results:
Oral presentations about the importance of nature were prepared.

Questionnaires were organized and later analysed.
The involved students had educational visits to different companies in Estonia, representing the different local economic sectors, to get know about local possibilities and local environment as different alternatives for their future working life.
By participating in these activities, students:
Learned about new aspects and fields of education,
Prepared themselves better for their profession and future work life (language/ICT/natural sciences/humanities),
Sharpened/widened their scientific and personal competences,
Supported the European idea and European relations.
Thought about the real importance of nature,
Reflected about the skills and competences they need to continue developing in order to become a good worker in the future,
Improved their English language skills, communicative skills.
Students have assessed each activity during the project week in EVALUATION LISTS- they have written what they liked and what could be done differently to make a summary of the project.
As well, students from Latvia have evaluated the project - what are their experience, what they have got from the project.
